Well, I understand Biden called him personally to apologize.  But beside that, it is a very apropos question.

If Biden did in fact call him to apologize, I am very disappointed in Biden. But on the plus side, it does show that he is a decent human being, unlike the slithering dog turd he replaced.

And "apropos?" No, not in the least. It was an off-topic question with an obvious answer that was asked only as a "gotcha" question to embarrass Biden, typical of the Fox maggots.

I think if you go back to Trump's news conferences, the questions asked by hostile reporters were much worse than a current question about inflation.  To call it not apropos when Fed Chairman Powell is speaking about inflation in 1 1/2 hours and the whole economic world will be listening, doesn't make sense.  Biden should be addressing these issues instead of laying it off on the hapless Fed chairman who's screwed if he does and screwed if he doesn't.  Frankly, Powell would have been better off declining re-nomination and letting some other sucker take the blame for a losing economy and Fed.

In any case, Biden hid from the public during the election in his basement, but he can't keep hiding.  Reporters are supposed to ask questions that the public is interested in and that test the politicians in what they're doing about things.  Of course, the last time Biden clarified an important issue, he practically gave the go-ahead to Russia to attack Ukraine with a small invasion and pull off some petty larceny on that country.  His entire administration and all our allies had to cover for him.  Who knows what he'd say about inflation? The whole stock market would sink.

Here's an interesting little sideline to the Jan 6 terrorist attack on the US Capitol. It's from the 99% Invisible podcast, a very interesting program in general btw, about a government employee who became interested in the architectural and historical background of the underground tunnels around the Capitol building. He built a web site about this obscure topic using public domain info and had very little traffic until a couple of months before Jan 6th, when he started to see an uptick in visitors from unexpected places, which he reported to the FBI. The interview is the first story in this longer podcast episode, the first 15 minutes or so, https://99percentinvisible.org/episode/mini-stories-volume-13/.

Were any of the tunnels used on Jan 6th by the rioters?

What should we do in Ukraine and with Russia?  Thirty years ago when the Soviet Union collapsed, America started to press Russian territorial security.  I thought at the time, Why do that?  They moved to Capitalism, seem to be moving toward democracy and our actions would only make them nervous.

Well, here we are thirty years later, and this is where NATO and our actions have gotten us.   While I'm not a fan of Putin, the Russian people have security interests just like every other country.  Frankly, as I've said before, we should have been playing up our friendship with Russia because we could use them against China, our real potential adversary.  Unfortunately, hatred of Trump turned our logic against ourselves, so here we are.

Interesting that Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said what he said which correlates to what I felt was back when.  It seems to have come to a crisis, something that should have been averted decades ago.

What are your thoughts?

US and NATO responses fail to address Russia's main concerns, says Foreign Minister Lavrov
Moscow (CNN)The written responses presented by the United States and NATO to Russia's security demands fail to address Moscow's concerns over the eastward expansion of the military alliance, Russia's Foreign Minister said Thursday as fears of a possible invasion of Ukraine remain high.

"There is no positive reaction on the main issue in this document," Sergey Lavrov told journalists in Moscow. "The main issue is our clear position on the inadmissibility of further expansion of NATO to the East and the deployment of strike weapons that could threaten the territory of the Russian Federation."

You have this odd repetitive habit of asking questions of others, when your posting history and agenda show/prove,you have no desire or ability to accept any answer. No need to ask.

Good point, rather true.
What wasn't was the question you answered (”What are your thoughts?”).
As we will soon see, it wasn't a legitimate question but another setup for jerking the knee.

As for reporters, so what? Yes, liberal reporters put Trump on the spot sometimes, but those were legitimate questions. This was not. And even if you think it was, he was still a stupid son of a bitch for asking it.

And what's with this "hiding in the basement" crapola? Totally made up by Trump. I looked into this and during the period in question Biden was making at least one ot-of-town trip every week for campaign activities. Yet for reasons I do not fathom, some sapheads continue to believe it. As for hiding in basements, look what the Orange Oaf did during the Lafayette park protests--hid in the basement! Chicken shit bonespur boy.

Good point.  That's next.  I agree he has to do something.

Biden's threatening to close Nord Stream 2.  Well, Biden's good at closing pipelines.  He has a lot of credibility there.  Is that enough?

Questions about inflation aren't fair play or legitimate?  How so?

Or, as he did during the insurrection he fomented, hid in the "Executive Residence", watching it all play out on TV, exclaiming, reportedly, "Look at all these people who love me!"

This after promising "...and I'll be there with you..."

"Chickenshit bone spur boy" doesn't begin to cover it. (with apologies to PeterAit)

Thank dog he did:

But it hardly matters to the sycophant. If Biden found a cure for all cancers, Alan would complain about the price of his big macs and his ever-increasing waistband.

It's a distraction.  Trump isn't even on a list of things most Americans care about. The democratic party has been taken over by socialist and black radicals and anti-Trumpers. Meanwhile, most Americans are concerned about other things.

Biden's:
Approval on immigration: 36%
Approval on Afghanistan: 38%
Approval on the economy: 38%
Approval on  crime: 39%

This Poll Shows Just How Much Trouble Democrats Are In
How did Democrats get into so much trouble so quick? Inherited trends, including Covid-19, deficits and geostrategic overreach, are partly to blame. So is poor policymaking on issues like the economic stimulus. But the heart of the problem lies elsewhere. Democrats are telling a story about America — about the depth and pervasiveness of racism, and about the existential dangers of Mr. Trump — that a great many Americans, even a great many would-be Democrats, do not buy.
