So far, each of them has been charged with one count of conspiracy to injure an officer; three counts of assault on a federal officer with a dangerous weapon; one count of civil disorder; one count of obstructing or impeding an official proceeding; one count of physical violence on restricted grounds, while carrying dangerous weapon and resulting in significant bodily injury; and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct, act of physical violence on Capitol grounds.
Right, in Alan's simple understanding or ignorance of the facts: "The men were charged wth simple assault".
He doesn't get it and more, no matter how often you ask him or show him the facts. It is like trying to convince a rock to think. Or as Chicago lawyer told a judge he was "a few french fries short of a happy meal."

The FBI has been investigating since Jan 6th and haven't found evidence to charge them with more serious crimes to match Roaldi's hyperbolic claims of treason, murder, and insurrection.  In fact, it's surprising that no one considers that some cops shot unarmed protesters killing a number of them.  Had they been black, BLM would have been out in the street marching against racist cops and the whole discussion would be different.

And just in:
US intelligence report says Russia attempted to interfere in 2020 election with goal of 'denigrating' Biden and helping Trump

The US intelligence community has assessed that Russia attempted to interfere in the 2020 election by conducting influence operations aimed at "denigrating President Biden's candidacy and the Democratic Party, supporting former President Trump, undermining public confidence in the electoral process, and exacerbating sociopolitical divisions in the US," according to a new report released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence Tuesday.

None of the above is in any sense a response to what I posted. I don't know why you quoted it.

It also doesn't make your false claim that "The men were charged with simple assault" any less false.

Where is it that "cops shot unarmed protesters killing a number of them"? What are you talking about?

Pepper spray doesn't kill people.

In addition to the effect on the eyes, pepper spray and bear spray causes swelling of mucous membranes in the airway and lungs when inhaled, resulting in restricted breathing and can be fatal depending on the concentration of the agent being sprayed and the amount inhaled.

In Canada, pepper and bear sprays fall into the prohibited weapon category.

To fight off vicious attacks, carry a ballpoint pen.

In Canada, pepper and bear sprays fall into the prohibited weapon category, so protesters carry different kinds of weapons.

To fight off vicious attacks, carry a ballpoint pen.

Fact-free Alan on the move again. ONE cop (not some) shot ONE protestor (not protestors). And if the mob had been black they would have been met with fully armed riot police, dogs, and armored vehicles.

Did you show concern about rioters using pepper spry during the BLM riots

Any evidence to show that happened?

the BLM riots

There were thousands of BLM protests last year. The overwhelming majority were peaceful.

According to the October 2020 "Report on the 2020 Protests and Civil Unrest" published by the "Major Cities Chiefs Association - Intelligence Commanders Group"

In total, there were 8,700 protests that took place in most major cities between May 25th and July 31st, 2020. While the vast majority of these protests were peaceful, a large portion did include non-violent acts of civil disobedience such as the takeover of a roadway or disruption of commerce. Additionally, there were 574 protests that involved acts of violence, some of which were severe. This violence was limited to only 7% of all protests and in most cases, the acts were perpetrated by individuals or small groups that infiltrated the larger protests.

Despite the fact that the overwhelming majority of the 8,700 protests were either peaceful or involved non-violent acts of civil disobedience, there were groups and individuals that sought to exploit the protest environment in many cities and engage in violence. An estimated 7% of the protests (574 of the 8,700 protests) involved violence.

The malicious actors who took part in this violence were motivated by a wide variety of factors. Some were driven by extremist anti-government or anti-law enforcement ideologies on both sides of the political spectrum. Others simply used the protests as cover to engage in criminal behavior.

Here is an article addressing the thorny issue of convincing Trump supporters to get vaccinated.

"Unfortunately, the vaccine paranoia is just a part of what is ultimately a larger and more intractable problem, which is that a well-funded right wing propaganda apparatus — with Fox News at its center — is increasingly relying on tactics that are indecipherable from cult indoctrination to alienate their audiences from the rest of society and increase their psychological hold over them. This pandemic of paranoia and cult-like behavior simply cannot be cured with a shot."

The one person shot was a white 35-year-old Air Force veteran.  She was unarmed.  The government has not released the name of the officer who killed her nor any details of their investigation.  Can you imagine if she was an unarmed black woman?  Another double standard.  I'm sure the Biden Dept of Justice will continue to protect the officer.

Protect the officer from what? Doing his duty to protect senators and representatives from a violent mob of domestic terrorists?

Here's how peaceful they were:

Widespread vandalism and looting during BLM protests will cost the insurance $2 BILLION after violence erupted in 140 cities in the wake of George Floyd's death
Unrest in wake of George Floyd's death resulted in record insurance payouts
A total of between $1-2billion in claims have been filed due to property damage
Riots, arson, and looting took place in Minneapolis and spread to 140 cities
Six people died in the rioting and National Guard was called up in 21 states
Recent unrest took place in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after police shot Jacob Blake
Kenosha fire chief says rioting and unrest resulted in $11million in damage

That's the argument the cops are using in the death of George Floyd.  They were just doing their job.  But it may be they went too far.  Maybe the Washington officer went too far as well.  She was unarmed.

The details of their investigation should be released as to why the officer felt compelled to shoot to death an unarmed woman.  Why are the details being withheld?  If she were a black woman, there'd be rioting in the streets.  Don't White Lives Matter? Why is there a double standard in America today?  It's just adding to the hostility between groups.  Justice should be applied equally.

Did anyone say there was no violence? 93% of the protests were peaceful and 7% had incidents of violence per the association of major city police chiefs study.
