Another missed golden opportunity for a politician to have kept his mouth firmly closed, https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2021/02/17/colorado-city-texas-mayor-tim-boyd-resigns-facebook-post-under-fire/6786899002/.

That's the kind of guy you want in a crisis.

While the finger-pointing will go on who's responsible for their design and installation, I was surprised to learn that 23% of electricity in Texas is produced by wind. Well, they didn't say what kind of wind.  But it seems that wind generators froze up.  But apparently, there are anti-freeze kits available that they can add.

So we are to believe AOC thinks the world will end in 12 years and that she really is that stupid.

It depends on who you ask. I think Alan thinks the answer is yes. I think the answer is no.

AOC is the same smart person who scared Amazon from opening up a huge facility in Queens and hiring 25,000 New Yorkers many who would earn $150K and many who are poor minorities like those she represents.  What a dope.

I linked to NASA yes. The NASA link is what it is, if you don't like it, contact NASA. I wasn't trashing Alan, I was correcting him again in a sentence that was assumptive, a generalization and, incorrect. According to NASA. Another 'fact' you made up sir? You have no idea what I know; you do know what URL I posted. Basically Alan was wrong, but of course, you still can't answer the question asked (the question you did answer, about cheques was equally incorrect so I can see why you're not willing to go there).
Hands up who called Alan a liar, and who is accepting Craig's answer about who wrote the Cheques (even Alan can vote but he will not).

The backstroke suits you, it just makes you look silly.  But quite frankly its spot on, for you.

Coming from you, the guy who knows all the 'facts' about who signs the cheques, I'll take that as a compliment and badge of honor.  :D
The Backstroke or back crawl is one of the four swimming styles. You're just sinking here as the votes thus far, show zero votes for your 'facts's'.  :o

Thank you. I should have been more restrained with my use of the word "people" without an appropriate modifier.

No worries.  I can only speak for myself but gas mileage is simply not something I consider when it comes to buying a car.  I want to drive what I want to drive, and it may also fill a specfic need.  I have three vehicles, an SUV, a sedan and a minivan.  Not a one gets over 24 on the highway, and I'm fine with that.

You can't remember what it is you are asking...  Is it wrote or signed?  ROFLMAO!

Coming from you, the guy who knows all the 'facts' about who signs the cheques,

Q: And who wrote the cheques?
Now you can go on record:
The US citizens, or the Government?
Hint, it wasn't the US citizens.  :P

Hint, it was the US citizens in both questions.

OK, next question:

What were the first words uttered from the surface of the moon?

Wow! She must be some kind of extraordinarily powerful individual to scare a company the size of Amazon. She's just one congresswoman from NYC and her political position is a federal one, not state or local.

Are you sure that her opposition to massive local tax incentives, among other issues, tells the full story of why Amazon decided not to locate there?

102:45:40 Aldrin: Contact Light.

Wrong.

Especially wrong since it took you so long to answer.
Busy Googling the answer, no doubt.

Wrong.

Right.

I knew exactly where the words were located, since I posted the link upthread.

Aldrin uttered those words as the contact probe from the Lunar Module touched the surface of the moon.  Making his words "contact light" the first words uttered from the surface of the moon.

You seem to be assuming someone actually went to the moon. Some people think the moon landing was faked, so it is still an open issue.

Although I never gave into this theaory, I was listening to Apollo 11; What We Saw by Bill Whittle and he pointed out the irrefutable evidence it was not faked is how the moon dust moves in the videos.  It does not puff up into a cloud, but moves like splashes of water, something I never thought about until I heard him mention it.  This is only possible in a vacuum and no vacuum exist on earth large enough to fake a shot like this.

And even if you wanted to build one big enough, it would actually be cheaper to just go to the moon.
