I have spent some time mocking Trump because he's such a preposterous figure, but I don't recall "supporting" Biden. Had I been eligible to vote in the US, I'd have voted for your dog if it meant throwing out Trump and his cronies, so in that sense I would have voted Biden. Not sure I would call that support, but I guess technically it would have been. The most I can say is that Biden appeared to have some policies, but I don't recall Trump mentioning any in the last couple of years.
Frankly, considering all the constant attacks and impeachment and other charges constantly being charge by Democrats, it's amazing Trump found time to get anything accomplished.  But he did.

without a president, what would Johnny Carson have had for material ?
Johnny Carson was an equal opportunity comedian.  He didn't turn comedy into a political attack.  He joked about both sides, and it was all done in good fun.

Today's comedians on late-night TV have a political agenda.  They aren't funny.  Their jokes about Trump get old and they are subservient to their ratings, like CNN and MSNBC who also attack Trump.  I don't know how anyone can watch those guys anymore.  They're like a one-trick pony.

What you're doing is turning your dislike of Trump into a shopping list of hatred of things he did without analyzing each one of them from a point of value to Americans who you also disagree with.

You've been bitching and moaning about Biden all morning. Where's your analysis "from a point of value to Americans who you also disagree with"? Pot meet kettle. It is just more pontification on your part.

First I don;t adore Trump.  I think he's a loudmouthed narcissistic guy.  He wasn't my first choice for president in 2016, but better than Clinton and Biden this last time.  Biden isn't physically or mentally capable of handling the job.  I suspect Harris will take over and she has no experience at all. I'd like to see the Republican party select a younger person, fiscally conservative, tough but with a calmer demeanor, bright, with a lot of executive experience to run in 2024.

Trump did a lot of good things for America that you don't accept or recognize.  So be it.  Rating a president that has been out of office for less than two months means nothing.  It takes decades after people died and there are no longer personal feelings when an unbiased assessment can be made.

Even your list of terrible things he did are non-starters.  Such as coddling foreign strongmen.  Did Biden just do that with Prince Salman?  Should Biden not talk to Kim?  Should America cut off relations with strongmen in Egypt?    These are political arguments those people are making to try to make Trump look evil. They're silly arguments of course.  After all, Presidents have to deal with the actual world and the people who run it. Every president has dealt with dictators.  Should Biden not have a meeting with China's Xi?

Trump, like other politicians, represents the people who vote for them.  Should 74 million voters who agree with him on many policy issues just be written off as Neanderthals per Biden and like Hillary wrote us off as Deplorables?  What you're doing is turning your dislike of Trump into a shopping list of hatred of things he did without analyzing each one of them from a point of value to Americans who you also disagree with.  It's OK to disagree.  But your judgments as to their value to America are faulty from my standpoint. Certainly, assigning misanthropic values to him and his supporters is just wrong.  You ascribe evil to the people who hold opinions you disagree with. That's dangerous because then you can have them fired, dismissed from society, and worse.

I agree with you that Trump is a loudmouthed narcissistic guy. Those two character traits alone should disqualify him from running for a public office. I also agree that the Republican party should select a younger person, fiscally conservative, tough but with a calmer demeanor, bright, with a lot of executive experience to run in 2024. So why to keep glorifying and brownnosing the lying bully?

The points about Trump which I listed, were not of my making. That was an excerpt from an article by Bill McCann in Statesman, an American news and radio agency based in Austin, Texas. The article was written almost two years ago, in May 2019. Newer articles contain even more detrimental information about Trump.

Do you think Trump did anything that was good for America or your Canada?  If so, what?

He appointed Jerome Powell as Fed chair.
He ignored Jeff Sessions and 18 states liberalized marijuana.

Who would have thought this possible?

The billionaire accused of running the biggest tax fraud scheme in U.S. history was a prolific donor to Republican groups and causes.
The leaders of those organizations have kept quiet on the accusations against him.
Robert Brockman, the former CEO of Ohio-based software company Reynolds & Reynolds, was charged in October for running a $2 billion tax fraud scheme.

And:
Shortly after midday on Jan. 6, a Federal Protective Service officer emailed an alarming briefing to his colleagues in Washington, D.C. that Donald Trump had just ordered his followers to march to the U.S. Capitol. The email, obtained by the Associated Press, was sent right after Trump encouraged his fans to “fight like hell” to overturn the election result. An unnamed protective service officer sent an email that read: “POTUS is encouraging the protesters to march to capitol grounds and continue protesting there.” The briefings tracked protesters on their march—then, an hour later, delivered the chilling message: “CAPITOL HAS BEEN BREACHED. PROTESTERS ARE NOW INSIDE THE CAPITOL.” The AP obtained hundreds of documents related to the Capitol riot. Another sees a firefighter describing officers “being pulled into the crowd and trampled, assaulted with scaffolding materials, and/or bear maced.”

March 4th has come and gone and nothing happened, so QAnon has moved Trump's inauguration back to March 20th. Fortunately, "Trump is still in command of the military" and "Biden is acting as president as a ruse while the Pope and others are rounded up."

Why do I get this feeling that the people who believe in QAnon's supposed insanity are just as nuts as they are?

Keystone XL pipeline was a good project. Much cheaper and cleaner to transport oil through the pipeline than by trucks.

Because most of the time, your feelings have no basis in reality or facts.
Someone ask Alan if he believes anything from QAnon, that should result in some posted insanity.

There you go.  Canadians are going to miss Trump before Biden is done.

Meanwhile, oil prices are going up and prices at the gasoline pump are going way up.  When Biden shuts them all down, what will Canada do with their oil? Make straws?

I think most of the people who believe in QAnon are Trump supporters. Trump is supposed to be in pitched battle with a deep state cabal of cannibalistic Democrats operating a pedophile sex ring.

Slight correction - most Canadians will miss the pipeline, but not Trump.

Why are oil prices going up and prices at the gasoline pump are going way up. When do you think this is going to happen. Can you assign some numbers to "up" and "way up"? Last thing I read was that Saudi Arabia was going to maintain it's current production levels.

When Biden shuts them all down, what will Canada do with their oil? Make straws?

What is "them" that Biden is going to shut down. Plastic straws does not strike me as a growth industry. I think most fast food joints have already moved to paper.
