Did this fact of history just come to your attention?
If this is a reason you'll not come to NM, I again recommend you stay in PA. PLEASE.

No, I just it was a more amusing reason than NM being the state with the highest crime rate, 47th safest state, low number of cops, one of the worse public school systems, a large wealth gap, a fairly large amount of deaths from DWI per capita.

Top 10 reasons NOT to move to New Mexico. It has some of the worst towns in America.

Are you always this obnoxious or are you making a special effort today?  :P
Again, please don't come here. Please.
Meanwhile, do attempt to examine the state with one of the highest vaccination rate in the US. Updated 5 hours ago:

Enchantment?  Jesus would have a hard time finding enchantment in NM.

And when the population of your state is only 0.63% of the nation, you could hire a blind mute to handle vaccinations.  BTW, are you sure it vaccines being given out, not meth?

Speculation drives the market, like how the policies of a anti-fossil president who just won will hamper the industry.  Notice the upward trajectory in November.  Also, speculating on how shutting down the pipeline not even 24 hours into his presidency will effect the industry.  Notice the increased upward trajectory in January.

I thought the price of oil rose in January because Saudi Arabia announced a cut in production..

Just the same people who believe that the government is storing the bodies of Martians in Area 51.

I didn't see any Area 51 t-shirts at the Capitol riot. Lots of QAnon ones though.

I really don't know much about QAnon... I think it's more political than real.

You don't? Why not? You didn't notice their highly visible presence at Trump rallies being discussed in news reports; watch or read news reports on their insane beliefs and activities; see adherents interviewed; didn't notice their visible involvement in storming and terrorizing the Capitol; are not aware of their promotion by Michael Flynn and Republicans running for, or now elected to, public office including Congress?

If you wish to claim ignorance of—or simply don't care about—a years-long domestic terror threat to your country, which became much more prominent in the months leading up to and after the election and ended with major involvement in the insurrection at the Capitol, that's up to you. You might also want to schedule appointments with your optometrist and have your ears checked.

You know, that guy in the wildly popular piece of fiction.  I cant remember the name of it though.

But anyway, I think I finally realize where all of the anger comes from Andrew.  You are living in, and obviously very proud of, a state that always plays second fiddle to AZ.  I mean when I think of the Southwest and dessert anything, it is AZ that always comes to mind.  I often have to remind myself that NM even exists.  Really, it just always seems like the USA gaining your state was an odd mistake that we begrudgingly took off of Santa Anna's hands, thanks to Texans BTW.

Now, insofar as myself, I will always be proud of being from the fountain of American liberty and independence.  Not to mention the home of the only person smiling on our currency, probably because he knew better then to become president.

Hmmm... Finding enchantment in New Mexico has been easy for many artists, including the greats in photography, for many decades. How did you get left out?

Holy moly. I wonder who thought this was a good idea in 2021?

Texas school scraps chivalry assignment that had girls 'obey any reasonable request of a male'

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/texas-school-scraps-chivalry-assignment-had-girls-obey-any-reasonable-n1259730

"Hear Ye, Hear Ye Ladies," the lesson began. "The ladies ... will demonstrate to the school how the code of chivalry and standards set in the medieval concept of courtly love carries over to the modern day."

"The lesson called for them to dress in "a feminine manner to please the men" and to "address all men respectfully by title, with a lowered head and curtsy." It instructed them to "never criticize a male," "initiate a conversation" or "whine." It directed them to "walk behind men or walk daintily, as if their feet were bound." And they were told to cook, clean and "obey any reasonable request of a male. If not sure if it is considered reasonable, ladies can check with their teachers.”

one of the worse public school systems

one of the "worse" is probably not a phrase that would be suggested if you're you're going to be criticizing any schools.

Do you think Trump did anything that was good for America or your Canada?  If so, what?

Undeniably.  He lost the presidential election.

Really, it just always seems like the USA gaining your state was an odd mistake that we begrudgingly took off of Santa Anna's hands, thanks to Texans BTW.

Really, it was thru a deliberate land grab to steal half of Mexico's territory by means of a fabricated war (Mexican-American War) which was opposed by Lincoln as a congressman and Grant who served in it as a young officer.

"For myself, I was bitterly opposed to the measure, and to this day, regard the war, which resulted, as one of the most unjust ever waged by a stronger against a weaker nation. It was an instance of a republic following the bad example of European monarchies, in not considering justice in their desire to acquire additional territory."

Ulysses S. Grant, Personal Memoirs of General U. S. Grant (1885), p. 16

"The Southern rebellion [Civil War] was largely the outgrowth of the Mexican war. Nations, like individuals, are punished for their transgressions. We got our punishment in the most sanguinary and expensive war of modern times."

Ulysses S. Grant, Personal Memoirs of General U. S. Grant (1885), Chapter 3

"With a soldier the flag is paramount. I know the struggle with my conscience during the Mexican War. I have never altogether forgiven myself for going into that. I had very strong opinions on the subject. I do not think there was ever a more wicked war than that waged by the United States on Mexico. I thought so at the time, when I was a youngster, only I had not moral courage enough to resign. I had taken an oath to serve eight years, unless sooner discharged, and I considered my supreme duty was to my flag. I had a horror of the Mexican War, and I have always believed that it was on our part most unjust. The wickedness was not in the way our soldiers conducted it, but in the conduct of our government in declaring war. The troops behaved well in Mexico, and the government acted handsomely about the peace. We had no claim on Mexico. Texas had no claim beyond the Nueces River, and yet we pushed on to the Rio Grande and crossed it. I am always ashamed of my country when I think of that invasion."

As quoted in Around the world with General Grant (1879), by John Russell Young, p. 448

Given your distaste for New Mexico and the liberalism in California, maybe the United States should give it all back to Mexico.

Had Trump been re-elected, I'd have been quite happy with that [i.e., returning parts of the southwest United States to Mexico].

Y entonces México hubiera construido su propio muro.  (Por supuesto, lo hubiéramos pagado.)
