Meanwhile, Michael Flynn has called for Trump to declare martial law, temporarily suspend the Constitution and civilian control of federal elections, and overturn the election and promoted a full-page ad in the Washington times with a petition...

"At least half of all Americans do not and will not accept this fraudulent election... Without a fair vote, we fear, with good reason, the threat of a shooting civil war is imminent. Gun sales are at an all time high and 40% are first time gun owners looking to defend themselves, their property, and their rights. Therefore, Mr. President you must act now before there is no peaceful way left to preserve our Union."

"When the legislators, courts and/or Congress fail to do their duty under the 12th Amendment, you must be ready Mr. President to immediately declare a limited form of Martial Law, and temporarily suspend the Constitution and civilian control of these federal elections, for the sole purpose of having the military oversee a national re-vote... Unfortunately we are at a point where we can only trust our military to do this because our corrupt political class and courts have proven their inability to act fairly and within the law."

You must also act, like Lincoln did, to silence the destructive media’s one-sided propaganda designed and proven to influence the election outcome, and end the unlawful censorship of Big Tech, to restore the confidence of the American People in our electoral process or we cannot continue as a nation. Failure to do so could result in massive violence and destruction on a level not seen since the Civil War. Limited Martial Law is clearly a better option than Civil War!

Many will object to these actions, as they did in Lincoln’s day, but we assure you that We the People understand that no less action will suffice to prevent the loss of our Constitutional right to vote and preserve our Republic. It is time to honor your oath, Mr. President. It is time for you to boldly act to save our nation as Lincoln did. We the People will support a national re-vote. We will also have no other choice but to take matters into our own hands, and defend our rights on our own, if you do not act within your powers to defend us.

He never said those things.  He linked to a petition that called for a lot of stuff.  It appears he was tweeting regarding people and organizations that were standing up for what seems like freedom on the surface. I doubt if he realized everything that was in that petition, which he didn;t sign.   I'd like to hear what he says directly about it.  You're quoting the petition written by others not his words.  You're presenting it falsely by making it seem he used those words himself.

You did the same thing with Flynn's dinner with Putin.  Guilt by association.

So Slobo, I guess we can just sit back and watch this BS happen over the next 4 years...otherwise all you are doing is regurgitating garbage that you read about on the net...and blindly believe it all. One word, Sheeple.
You do realize that Slobodan lived under socialism of the worse kind personally and knows more about it than anyone else here?

No, John, you also don’t know what socialism is.

As for quote above, isn’t that what the fate of a half of the American population is going to be? Sent to re-education camps, as Biden people are proposing? Or stripped of their livelihood for something they or their father said ten years ago? Or their wife said, in her private social media account in foreign language?

That’s exactly where name-calling originated - schoolyards.
Exactly is it? You and Alan are drinking, then speaking from the same made up well
https://www.theidioms.com/call-names/
Origin

When you call someone by a disparaging name you are trying to make them feel bad about themselves. It is often used when speaking badly about someone when they are not around. It can also be used when trying to assert dominance, especially by children. It is a way of making fun of other people who are weaker than you are.

In the 1300s the word name used to mean "your reputation." Thus, if someone called you something else they would be damaging your reputation. In the 1800s the phrase became known as name-calling meaning "the use of opprobrious epithets." This means that you are abusing someone or bringing disgrace.

You mean our dead enemies? Even Putin’s Russia is not communist anymore, yet America is about to make Mao and Stalin happy.

What makes you doubt that he realized everything that was in the petition? Why do you feel the need to defend him? It is the most bizarre behavior.

+1; not so much garbage as errant racism.

One of the weird things about "socialism" is I don't think the people arguing about it on left and right knows what it means. In a socialist country, the government owns the means of production. You know, like GM, Exxon, Microsoft, Google, etc. Owns them. As in the USSR, China, North Korea. In AOC theory, socialism doesn't haveto be totalitarian, as in the USSR, China, North Korea, but it doesn't seem to work otherwise. And, it most real socialist countries, it has usually proven expedient to get rid of a portion of the population that disagrees with the system. What most people seem to mean by socialism is actually "social democracy," in which many life-supporting activities are left to governments, like universal medical care, strong Social Security programs, good welfare and minimum wages, and so on. That requires higher taxes, which many people hate. I understand that, since I pay about 50% of my income in taxes now, and would be paying more than that if I lived in California and a few other states. But, a fair high tax rate doesn't mean many people can't be rich; just not as obscenely rich as they are now. Seems to work in Scandinavia, which actually seems to have quite a few rich people.
Socilism also includes the redistribution of wealth.  Biden said he wants to do a lot of that.  Hopefully, it was campaign rhetoric,  But I'm worried.  He wants to spend 2 trillion of money we don't have on green. So he's going to decide which industries get the money.  government controlling corporations and business decisions.  The government owns the businesses in effect.  Also, with all the money being given to companies today, they have to pay it back, I believe.  So that could impact the ownership definition as well.  Crony capitalism is socialism as well.  Just as wrong.  The government should stay out of these things.  economies do better when they do.  More jobs, more wealth for everyone, and better living standards.  YOu don;t want to kill the golden goose which I'm afraid we're on the path to.

Well after four years of making Kim, Erdogan and Putin happy, maybe it will work out better.

No. I mean the current enemies of democracy around the world. That now includes the Anti-democracy Party that goes under the name the Republican Party domestically.

And how did Trump do? China, economy on the rise ready to take over as the world's leader. North Korea...testing new long range weapons. Russia...Trump sitting on Putin's lap.
It was the presidents before Trump that made them what they are.  He's been trying to contain them, which probably is impossible at this late stage.  I just hope Biden stays resolute like Trump.  I'd support him if he does.

Plus... a country much more deeply divided, paranoid, and accepting of bizarre conspiracy theories—some promoted or started by the President directly. Not to mention, the partially successful undermining of democracy to an extent our enemies could only dream about.
The only paranoid was TDS.   Speaking of bizarre conspiracy theories, how did the Democrats come up with Russian collusion and believe it even after Mueller said it wasn't true?   You still believe it.

The problem is that some naive and well-meaning (but totally impractical and detached from the real world) democrats / liberals on the left fringe can be much worse than socialists.
