C'mon, no picking on Kayleigh. Her press conferences are sometimes the high point of my TV-watching day. She combines ignorance, fatuousness, dishonesty and Barbie-Doll looks in a way no other woman has achieved. In a time when crazy stuff happens every single day she still retains the capacity to astonish. Hope Hicks, on the other hand, is a much more interesting woman. Good looking, of course, but I suspect she's also smart. I predict a serious political career for her, assuming the Republican Party survives the Trump catastrophe.

I just can't take it. The mute button doesn't help. Just watching her I know she is lying about something. The best thing for me to do is walk away. Kind of like putting a few people around here on ignore. You have to do it for your own sanity.

I thought Trump said he wanted to have a drug test because he knew Biden would never agree to one so Trump was safe to get hyped up on amphetamines or something. No other explanation for his performance. I bet he rearranged the shirts in his closet when he got home. On the other hand, I have never seen him in anything but a white shirt. He probably didn't notice. That happens sometimes.

He doesn't have a tailor. He buys expensive suits (Brioni if I remember correctly) and then cheaps out and doesn't get them tailored. And what about the mismatched socks and ties down to his knees? Doesn't exactly bring to mind the adjective sartorial. More satirical. He almost always wears a red tie. I think it is because he doesn't want to have to make any difficult decisions the first thing in the morning.

The New England Journal of Medicine, perhaps the most prestigious medical journal in the country, has condemned the Trump administration's handling of covid and called for him to be voted out of office. It is unheard of for them to publish editorials on politics, and it is only the 5th time in their 208 year history that an editorial has been signed by all of their editors. This folows Scientific American who for the first time in their 175 years endorsed a political candidate--Biden of course.
