Well, another day has gone bye-bye, no DVD nor a tortoise to be seen. I head for a 10 day trip to the north country (Maine) tomorrow. I'll look for any non-hibernating tortoises in Maine and maybe I can "borrow" the DVD he's carrying. In his cold sluggish state, he won't even know it's missing. If it's addressed to dark penguin I'll drop it off on the way to Conn on the 4th of Nov.

Just got back from Maine. Still no LL.

Why not transmit the data to a USA duplicator and ship from inside the US. I use Duplium in Dallas for my own duplication. I you did so also, you wouldn't have to change duplicators if that's your desire.

Well the trip to Maine was interesting. We got there with a major storm hitting the area. The locals were describing it as equivalent to the "perfect storm period" from the 90's. It was blowing with gusts into hurricane territory. Biggest wave's I've ever seen, by far.

If there were any tortoises delivering LL-DVD's, they were blown back across the border to Toronto.

Mid week it was so warm, that any tortoises that survived the storm moved north, thinking that they were in Miami.

They're all back in Canada.

Chris, do I wait longer or ??

Congratulations!

Some of those tortoises just like to torture people by waiting until you have sent a message to Steve Sauve asking for another copy.

I'll have to revise my world map again, putting Texas a bit farther from Toronto than Boston.

Eric,
Another interesting story... One of my friend ordered an single issue (#15) last Friday and the DVD was delivered next Monday [3 days] - in Switzerland. Amazing, the DVD took less time to cross the ocean(s) and be delivered than normal local mail usually does.

Shipping is something I never quite understood.

If any subscriber has not yet received LLVJ-15, they should contact Steven Sauve ASAP

Issue 15 just arrived today in Los Angeles, 5 weeks to the day after it was shipped.  I'm guessing I'm the last North American subscriber to receive his copy.  I'd already contacted Steven Sauve for a replacement so I expect that to get here on Santa's sleigh around Christmas.

That said, I had time to watch the Bangladesh travel segment. As always, Michael as host, Chris's videography/editing and Steven's music are all first-rate.

Five weeks is appaling and totaly unacceptable. We're taking several steps so that this never happens again.

Michael,

Thanks, I know that you will do everything you can to make this situation right.

The thing that puzzles me is that a couple of northern California subscribers received their copies at least 2 weeks before I did in Los Angeles. Makes me wonder if there is a problem associated with USPS service here in southern California.

Kind regards,

Paul
