I actually have been ordering individual DVDs, not a subscription.  Does that mean that I wouldn't get an email?

If you have a receipt from our store and have not received a shipment email within three working days, your email may have been blocked by a spam blocker or your order could have gone astray. Just drop Steven Sauve an email. .

I found the email.  Not sure why I didn't see it before.  Thanks.

And of course Wisconsin is in some galaxy far removed from Toronto.  I got my email on the 11th, but it still hasn't arrived.  I'm going to have to not tell my 6yo that it is in the mail.  He's probably looking forwad to it more than I am.  Maybe it will arrive today.

Ah, but Wisconsin and Texas are both in the U.S., like Boston. So our DVDS probably arrived at Guantanamo Bay on the 12th, where thay will be held until Homeland Security decides that they don't pose a threat.

It will get here when it gets here.

It appears the old empire (CAN, GB, AUS, etc.) gets first delivery, the rebellous yanks last.

Time for another tea (DVD) party at Duplium. The DVD will never reach Boston, probably on the bottom of the Haa'bor.

Well, the little bugger has reached the east coast, now it only has to head north. Not in the mail this afternoon.

There is always tomorrow, tomorrow is only a day away.

Well, it made it to California a couple of days ago.  :-)

However, with a five-year-old recent addition to the household, I'm not sure when I'll find a spare few minutes to see it...

I didn't even get the propaganda.  I stand by my prediction of December of 2938.

My advice is, if you didn't order UPS, just forget about it - it can take several weeks.  When it comes, it's a nice surprise!

Day 14

Still camped at the mailbox.  It is colder today but the falling leaves have given me warm bedding.  Unfortunately the cold seems to have driven the squirrels off so my food supplies are running low.  Soon we may have to move camp to the tree side of the mailbox for shelter.  No sign of relief.  Some in the party have begun to fear LLVJ will never come.

From this thread I have deduced that my DVD 15 is heading straight to Boston in a direct line. It was shipped on the 10th from Toronto, then went (apparently) straight through U.K., Germany, Montreal, Switzerland, Australia, West Virginia, Norway, California (northern but not southern), and North Carolina.

At the U.S. Postal Delay Center in North Carolina, the remaining as-yet-undelivered DVDs were loaded individually onto the backs of U.S.P.S. Tortoises. Two of these tortoises are in a neck and neck race northward toward Boston, one with my DVD and one for BlasR. But his will take longer than mine, because he lives south of Boston, and his tortoise will have to circle the city three times before heading south.

A third tortoise, with very short legs, is just now heading straight toward Dark Penguin, and expected to arrive in, say, about December of 2938.

A fourth tortoise headed directly for Texas, but stopped at the Mississippi River because it was afraid of getting its toes wet (from all the "Drip ... Drip ... Drip ... .)
