All we hear from Democrats and the left is how there was an attempt to overthrow the government, sedition, a coop, insurrection, etc.  Yet, no one was charged with those crimes.

You clearly haven't read the thread and have now spent the majority of 5 pages in 'Recent Posts'  extolling platitudes,'whatabouts' and excuses for the events of Jan-6th 2021.

Cheney is correct, "We [Republicans] can either be loyal to our Constitution or loyal to Donald Trump, but we cannot be both".

Any magazine/writer who cares about the truth, morality, and good governance will be anti-Trump.
Anti-Biden as well.  After all, he's lied his whole career including the Senate, and already in the presidency as well as before in college, and can't seem to lead very well.  We seem to stuck with people who have faults, just like the rest of us.   :-\

Do you actually expect that diversion to work? If so, on whom?

We seem to stuck with people who have faults, just like the rest of us.

How conspicuously obvious. That's because all past presidents, with one exception, were ordinary human beings that achieved extraordinarily high office.

The one that was not an ordinary human being was a sociopathic malignant narcissist who placed his ego above the core principals and foundations of our system of self-government. Before and after the last election, he intentionally and constantly lied to gullible followers and the American public about a democratic election to protect his fragile ego—democracy be damned. And when his lies incited an insurrection, he was derelict in his duty to protect: the Constitution, the Capitol and the elected officials meeting there, democracy, and the right of the people to choose their president thru the democratic process of voting.

The left media and Democrats constantly refer to  Jan 6 as an insurrection, coup, sedition or trying to overthrow the government.  Yet, the Democratic-run Justice Department of the Federal government has not charged anyone with these crimes.

All the charges are trespassing, assaults, damage to government property, breaking and entering, or other common crimes of this type in rioting and demonstrations.  The crimes and activities are being overcharged in the media for political reasons.  It doesn't reflect what actually happened nor the crimes that are being charged.  The Justice Department prosecutors are not overcharging knowing that the law and judges won't accept overblown charges.  Of course, nothing is stopping the media and Democrats from calling them sedition or insurrection for political points.

There you go again calling it an insurrection yet no one was charged with that.  Do you actually expect that diversion to work? If so, on whom?

Millions witnessed the insurrection on January 6th with their own eyes and ears as it was happening. Perhaps it was a sunny day and you were out taking photos and missed it.

The first article is by an anti Trump family writer and magazine.  I'll ignore it.

...

Your Trump-cult sycophancy is embarrassing to witness. Here is the Wiki bio of the person who the article about Don T Jr,  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Wehner. I'm not asking you to read the entire page, but just take a look at the introductory paragraph, it's only 3 lines long. Does that sound to you like the bio of some unreliable "loonie leftie"? But to you, the fact that he is anti-Trump is all you need to know, which is very telling about how you form your opinions.

Do you also think that the GOP-vilified Cheney is also unreliable because she's against Trump?

Maybe boredom. Ego. Maybe things are too good despite Covid.  People aren't working as hard.  When you have to earn a living you don't have time for nonsense, marching, etc.  Too much time on people's hands. Maybe social media is causing it. Look how we argue.  It's just silly.  Why do film and digital users argue which is best?  Every side is trying to control the world to their liking.  What do you think the reasons are?

Honestly, I don't know what to make of any of the current nonsense.

It's not a diversion.

You have gerrymandering...   How about the 60 vote filibuster?...  Hillary said... the phony and rigged dossier... Sanders said the DNC did him a dirty...  people don't trust the media...

Yep. No diversions. No diversions to see here folks. Now, move along...

First off I wish Trump would go away.  I'm not his sycophant. I think he helped the Republicans lose the two senate seat elections in Virginia last year.  The fact that a right winger might find Trump offensive means little.  I find him offensive too.  He's a boor, impolite, nasty, narcissist, etc.  But he did do a few things right while he was president.  Many people are blinded to that because they just hate him.  They confuse his personality with some of his policies.  There are a lot of Democrats who think Biden is a loser too but maybe for other reasons.  Biden has been a politician all his life so he knows how to play the part.  Trump is from NYC streets.  He tells it like he sees it and acts appropriately.

Regarding Cheney, I think she has it in for him for what Trump said and did to her father Dick Cheney the ex-VP.  The same thing happened with Senator John McCain when Trump insulted him declaring he wasn't a war hero.  McCain got even years later when he voted against other Republicans on modifications to the Obamacare bill that Trump supported.  Trump doesn't know how to play nice and pisses people off, even those who he needs for support.  Cheney was one of them. She opposes him but it's personal for her.

Actually, it's sad. That others believe the same nonsense—tragic.

Maybe you're right.

You think?

Then the old fart dries up and disappears.

The trouble is, there are some 70 million others, just waiting in the wings.

Ignorant, gullible, malignant, bent on "taking our country back".

The fact that Trump is offensive means little. The fact that Trump is dangerous to democracy means a lot.

In other words, Trump is not a presidential material. I wouldn't invite him to my birthday party, much less endorse him as a president.
