Hi,

I really like the second image that you posted!

Here is an image I am struggling with

and here is the raw file: http://echophoto.dnsalias.net/ekr/Articles/Challenge/20141227-CF045982.IIQ

Anyone coming up with a great conversion?

Best regards
Erik

I've also given Erik's slide a try. I hope you don't mind ;)

Nice shot! The file is quite good to work with. Here is my take: (used C1 pro v8 only)

P.S. Roger, I just bought a DPM2.  Amazing files, but why would you post in a MF thread?

For fun! But really, just my mistake—sorry.

The one below is true MF: Linhof Techno with Credo 60 and SK 150mm (not sure about the lens). Just a 15% resize of original file.

Hi Erik:
Those images make a good case for using film  ;D
Tom

The same thought crossed my mind.
Seems like Minolta Dimage Scan Multi Pro delivers great files as well!

Pentax67+105/2.4, Portra 800

Erik, great shots! And thank you for sharing a raw file. Here is my take on it:

Hi Keith,

You mean the dust or something else? The dust is easily removed (using an arctic brush), but mirror and baffles flipping up and down blow around a lot of dust.

Best regards
Erik

Hi Erik

Time perhaps for a sensor clean?

I'm printing a few older images.  Here's one I really like: Sunrise (around 5:30 am), Cap Bon Ami, Gaspe, Quebec.  This area is the absolute end of the St. Lawrence River and the water of the Great Lakes.  If you have a chance to visit Quebec, or most of Canada for that matter, take it.

You reminded me of a great trip on the St. Lawrence, and I have to post this, even if it's not MF:

Very nice Jim.  Traveling along the St. Lawrence is a wonderful trip.  You must have visited Tadoussac, if you were at the fjord.  Just north of the village is one of the most enchanting campgrounds I've ever visited: Paradis Marin.  It's a destination for whale watchers, kayakers and divers. There the lovely shoreline consists of exposed granite of the Canadian Shield, at night you can fall asleep listening to whales sound and in the morning a local baker delivers fresh bread and croissants.

Here's a shot from our campsite, taken with a Pentax 67 and 35mm fisheye:

And some whale-watchers (645 with 500mm):

Some whale-watchers with drinks from the campground's Café Bleu

If you're inclined, I have couple more images posted here:

Elba seascape with swimmer. The swimmer's skin provides a reference for the water colours produced by a combination of reflection (of sky and cliffs) with diffraction rings from sharp skyline, plus upwelling light from caustics on the seabed.  [Hasselblad HD50].  Zerui

Pentax 67ii, 45mm @ f22, 1/4s Portra 400 @ 160

Something went wrong in the developing tank and ruined two rolls but I kind of liked this one, the DR was defenitly too much for the d800 but portra played nice.

and another one with the 105 2.4 on ektar 100

and some more fun with the 105 2.4 and portra 400

I love my Hass, I love my Hass, but damn it I've had fun cheating on her with the 645Z.  Shot handheld, with the 90mm AW VR Macro at 1/100th ISO800.
