That's very effective indeed. Nice conversion.

If it was a solid blue sky I'd have thought colour could work too - but then I like pure blue skies :)

Through a Glass Darkly

Thanks Mike and Chris. To my eye it has more impact in BW. These sometimes come across as dark and foreboding, I think, because of the overarching limb-like shapes of the lamps, which can be suggestive. Of course Chris made me look up the reference to 'Through a Glass Darkly." I knew the phrase, but now know where it came from. Love it.

And one from me:
It does remind of a nest and eggs. My good bw's are few, but you seem to have it down pat.

Into the vortex, if you dare. I stole it from the old Time Tunnel series.

Well I guess it's time to join Neptune's trash. Maybe with the tines of his fork?

Thank you Chris. BTW, this image is the same subject as the vortex image.

A Gentle Breeze

I see you are trying multiple exposures. For a different look, try to shift the positions while maintaining the same axis point. So the image will rotate and shift ever so slightly without moving sideways or up and down.

Full disclosure: I wasn't intentionally trying to produce a multiple-exposure image.  I've been experimenting with focus stacking for a couple of weeks using a recently-acquired macro lens.  I wanted to see if I could make a hand-held outdoor shot by cranking out ten fast frames, and still stack them correctly.  I was curious whether the dedicated focus-stacking program I've been using (Helicon Focus) could align the frames properly under such trying circumstances.  I waited until the air seemed still before pressing the shutter button, but there was still enough breeze to cause enough movement to confuse the software.

It was just a test.  However, I liked the effect and my wife gave it her seal of approval, as well, so I decided to post it.

Like the tree scenes in Predator.

Yes it is.
You do more with less material than anyone else here, IMHO.
