On the other hand, Rob, after seeing the results, they saw what I was doing and how the light helped to transform mundane subjects. Then they went out with a better understanding of how to look for "interesting" subjects.

Yes, I thought of that, but did not want to be so literal. Sometimes, the obvious is part of the beauty of finding something amid the clutter of lines and shapes. Thanks for commenting.

Thanks Eric. And you too Degrub, because I don't know your name. And herewith is another figurative mountain. The triangle, is after all a dominant shape in any picture space. Feel free to jump into the reflecting pool.

Nice, conventional (?) tree photo.
I like it. Russ will complain about your lens again.

Thanks Eric. Yes, it is more impressionist than abstract. Just added a second more abstract image.

The new one is nice, too.

It's interesting that the tree leaves suggest camera motion that was in a mostly-vertical arc, while the top level of the grasses is perfectly horizontal. Have you now mastered a technique that lets you move two parts of the sensor in different ways in the same shot???   ;)

Thank you Rab and Eric. Eric, when you move the camera much of the image remains in the position where you started your movement. The more light you have on the subject, like sheen, sidelight and backlight, the more you can create the appearance of movement. You will see ghosting mostly on one end or side, depending on where you started and ended.
