The new one is nice, too.

It's interesting that the tree leaves suggest camera motion that was in a mostly-vertical arc, while the top level of the grasses is perfectly horizontal. Have you now mastered a technique that lets you move two parts of the sensor in different ways in the same shot???   ;)

Thank you Rab and Eric. Eric, when you move the camera much of the image remains in the position where you started your movement. The more light you have on the subject, like sheen, sidelight and backlight, the more you can create the appearance of movement. You will see ghosting mostly on one end or side, depending on where you started and ended.

I'm really liking this one, John, the more I look at it. The sinuous, twisting lines and colors are very appealing.

Thanks Arlen. Autumn light and color seems so fleeting and ephemeral.

Thanks guys for all your comments. This one was very experimental, and I did not have a good idea when I started where it would end up. Considering that, I was rather surprised and pleased with the way it turned out.

Could this be considered an abstract? Reflection in Cliff Lake,MT at dusk looking south. It's a hanging lake in the Milwaukee Peaks area.

Great catch!

It's abstract enough for me.

I guess that's why the moon and Rock are hanging- by a thread if I keep up this silly playing. I think it works great as semi-abstract. And that's what this thread is all about. also flipped it and very nice image.
