I love it, Patricia!
I can enjoy it as a pure graphic and also "read" the image in many different ways.

It has been an unexpected treat to have two gentlemen considered friends (not the norm for me), both pick up on something I felt in the night when thinking my way through a painting from one of my self portraits. Your individual perceptions brush my day~

Thank you Eric.

Shadow Intrigue is surely a segue to a 'Playground of the mind'.

Trainstationstudy nr 2

Colour, pattern, texture, light and shadow... I find this one is very appealing!

This one is going to be cool too. I'm going to take the exact same picture, except with a lady in red descending the stairs. From the trainstationseries.

Yes, cool. I like how the small dark shadows defines the steps and layers. I tell people to look for these whenever doing architecture, in particular.

"As an aside: Lillian Bassman would have loved that shot!"

Very generous Rob,
Her ability to work so graphically, painting and fashion, having sprung from the generation she did, was an early inspiration back in my teens. She perceived light in verso in a way that set the mind wandering. Although I have not yet achieved her 90 some odd years, I am on my way there, carrying her long white hair.

Better than I ever managed! At least I can be smug: my son lost his by thirty!

Oscar, we can't go on meeting like this!

:-)

When our queen was succeeded by her son, they asked a rather famous local composer to score a special song for the occasion. As soon as the music was first heard, many people commented it sounded all too familiar, even suggesting plagiarism.

Obviously, that composer isn't quite as stupid to commit plagiarism for such a public occasion, but the music did indeed seem too much a copy of some other obscure piece of music. (At least not exactly a source for semi-copying the masterpiece of your lifetime).

Then i wondered: how does inspiration happen? I mean it could well be that he'd be having an entertaining meal at some obscure Chin. Ind. Spec. Rest. where they have some obscure background music playing, which he, being the composer he is, subconsciously registers and couples to a pleasing evening.

Years later he thinks he conceives an inspirational new melody to attribute to the new king.

So, here then is hoping you didn't publish this picture previously at some obscure website where i shouldn't have been visiting in the first place...

Apparently, "photographic imaging" is a thing now (although technically this can be done in camera on some models).

I'd have opted for imagraphics, myself, but that's just an personal quirk of mine...

But a cool image, either way.

Both very nice, ~O~ .

I would call them "Photo" for very short, or perhaps "Photo+."

I like them both. Very nice work Oscar. I also do those in-camera on my Pentax. One sample, very similar to ~O~, but not as colorful.

Went for breakfast with neighbour and spotted these shadows created by the morning light. Taken with cell phone.
