I have actually had my for almost 8 months now...
Took me until I got the other focusing screen to fall in Love..:+}
Was That the 500 normal or the ULD?
I am thinking about picking up this lens but not sure if the ULD is worth the extra cost...
Care to let me know what you think Simon?
I have the 65 but wanted to get a little wider with the P30 as it has a crop..

Hi Snook,

I’m still using my original Mamiya 50mm lens I bought in 1988 and it works fine.

I haven't tried the new Mamiya 50mm ULD so I don’t know of any difference but I'm sure there is.

Thanks! Three out of the four were jobs & the one with flowers was personal. The bottom two were editorial of athletes.

One of my first test shoots from a grey old day here in Melbourne, this is a handheld shot on the H3D 31 at iso 400, on the 50-100 zoom at 110. Additional post in CS3.

OK the sensor got a bit scratched and the live view didn't help with the focusing, but the models were amused with the camera.

Is it just me, or does a lot of the stuff posted here look retouched to an extreme? To my eye a fair amount of the portraits in this thread look too sharp, too smooth, plastic. Is it heavy handed retouching or just the look of these backs?

@Marc,
These were actually shot during one of my basic workshops.
So during teaching.

@203,
Downconversion to the web makes the pictures look like sh*t to be honest.
On the originals there is ALOT of detail in the skin and they are not oversharpened.

This is the average detail you get on a 1:1 crop, and this one IS slightly oversharpened by the way, the sample was done for another forum.
