The lens was either a 24mm digitar (80% sure) or possibly a 35mm - there is no lens exif info from the alpa...

Both are razor sharp.

This is actually from a shoot I did over a year ago. It has been one of the images used from that shoot by the client extensively. It was with the Leaf 65 on the Mamiya 645AFDII and the 55-110AF lens.

Today the first session with the RZ67ProII with the Leaf.
I tested the 110mm f2.8 and the 180mm and must say that although focus with the standard screen is a bitch I was wildly surprised with the sharpness this system delivers....

A 100% crop straight out of the cam (very, very slightly sharpenend by photoshop):

Maybe someone can add to my experience.
I know the 645 by heart, I expected the RZ67ProII to be equal or little less.
At the moment however I have changed my opinion, it SEEMS that the RZ lenses have slightly better contrast and better blackrendition giving the shots a more real look and more contrasty.

I should have to shoot the two next to each other to be 100% sure, but what I see now I prefer the RZ above the 645, I wonder if more people have experience with both.

Great to see Frank and Snook enjoying there new Mamiya RZ cameras it only gets better guys.

I've been using them for over 20 years and have to say that I have loved every minute with this camera system.

Shot the other day.

nice feel to the shot. How do u find the 50mm lens. Are you using the ULD version or the older one. Since you've been using the system for 20yrs, i'm sure you must have used the older 50mm lens also. How different are they for todays cropped sensors? Also, pls post some more samples of the same combo.

Thanks for the complement

Sorry this was a photo shot for the new Nokia GPS cell phone advert thats why the snow border is at the beach and not the snow cause he is lost.

I'm still using the original 50 mm lens I bought back in 1988 and of course it not as wide with the Leaf Aptus 75 chip but if I need wider I revert to my Mamiya 645 AFDII kit which has a 28mm lens.

My dream back would have a 6x7cm chip, if one came out I would probable get a paper cut pulling out my cheque book out of my back pocket so fast.

do you find any red/blue CA problems with the 50mm in moderate/high contrast areas?

Don't know about 67 but a 6x6 (actually a 48x48)sensor is something i hear to be coming up.
