Why can't you make the highlights present in the JPEG? Why even bother posting when it looks like this.

I usually shoot film or 35mm digital for these kinds of quick music mag editorials. I used the P30 alongside 67 film for this one because, well, I could! Note that the highlights are present in the raw and the tiff. The jpg does not do the file justice. A note on the P30+: I like it better than the 1ds2 or 5D at 1600 iso. Although the bronze dragon seems a bit dark first - but viewed at a correct size it turns to the 3D look I wanted to catch.

Despite the 4,5 max opening I'm very happy with this zoom, because it is super-sharp, the 45-90mm range is perfect not only for travelling and the image quality even full-open with a soft bokeh really make you forget the weight (1,25kg incl. the metal shade). You should have bought it ....

It is such a shame that there are no new Carl Zeiss MF lenses.
They should buy the CONTAX name back and team up with a camera producer like Phase and Mamiya did ..............

I am not familiar with working with the camera JPEG. I thought that you were going from full size to JPEG like anybody who wants to show off their work would do. And I didn't understand why the loss of quality was happening. Now I know why it looks bad.

Personally I would rather see the post and explanation as opposed to seeing nothing. I found JP's post offensive and his back-peddling amusing.

I can't imagine anyone would expect much in a small jpg anyway. Untold detail is lost and the comment about the highlights sufficient.

Here is one of my first shots taken with a Hassey after many, many years of Canon use. This is a Bonobo taken over Christmas in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Great trip, very humid but the Hassey worked pretty well. Just back from Uganda/Rwanda photographing Gorillas. Hassey not so good as in low light its auto-focus was pretty poor and I switched back to the Canon!

Anyway, H3D II - 39 withg the 300mm lens.

Tried to get some nice shots of the early - brief spell of warm weather - confused Daffodils here in London.
I am a bit late as a lot were starting to look old... maybe better luck with timing next year.
Taken last Sunday, and then they were ruined by storms on Monday.

Didn't do anything except adjust blackpoint and remove some scratches from the table top.

this last weekend. They closed of the trail so you could not get close to the flow into the ocean.

Lots of really good work here. But there's a suspicious lack of cats. A dog or two, sure, but not enough housecats to really compare these with other photographic tools.
