Trump tries to convince Wisconsin to make him President, https://www.newsweek.com/trump-pressures-vos-overturn-election-after-wisconsin-drop-box-ruling-1723180.

If Biden is "senile", then what does this make Trump?  :)
Trump may be a loud-mouth New Yorker and a narcissist, but senile he isn't.  He also has core beliefs that he implemented during his term. Biden has changed his viewpoints on everything during his decades-long political career.  Everyone thought he was a moderate only to find out he now favors the "woke" generation.  Who knew?  He'll change to any viewpoint as long he can gain and maintain power.  Trying to implement his core beliefs are impossible because he has none.

That's some pretty faulty logic right there.
How do you count crimes that never happened?

A critique on commentary, some personal advice, and a showing of appreciation for a sound forum survival strategy.

Given your love of rhetorical merry-go-rounds, I'm not surprised that you're sounding like a broken record. Do you need a cranky nap?
You use to answer with thoughtful, intelligent, in-depth analysis with serious backup.  I appreciated that. Even if we disagreed, and we often do, we both were attacking the points we made but not one another. It seems you're taking the easy way out now by attacking the person.  It's beneath you.  Don't follow others here who play that game. You're better than that.

In this case, being in the minority is a badge of honor. Most of the people giving Biden a disapprove rating are those same slack-jaws that think Biden is in control of gas prices, or of how many migrants show up at our borders, and so on.
The people who have lost confidence in Biden are not slack jaws, Those people already don't support him.  Biden's problem is he's losing many Democrats and Independents.  People like you.

Nothing like an accurate comment to get a person's goat.

A majority of Americans, about 60% or more,  are now opposed to Biden for lack of good leadership.  They see his many failings as president.  Are they "abysmally ignorant and stupid" too?  Rather than attacking others here, maybe you need to reappraise Biden in light of the current circumstances.  He seems to have failed people's original expectations of him and the many Democrats who approve of his policies as well.

Changing one's mind is a sign of intelligence. When faced with new facts or a new situation, that's appropriate.

As for Trump and core beliefs, how about this: ""I'm very pro-choice," then-real estate businessman Donald Trump said in a 1999 interview on "Meet the Press,"

You use to answer with...

I'm not interested in your opinion. I've given up being interested due to the disingenuous character of your responses. You habitually pretend on so many levels about so many things that I. just. don't. care.

I'll choose my own words. You can like it or not as you see fit.

I'd give Trump 80% on trying to follow up on his core beliefs.  I don't know what score to give Biden because he doesn't have any beliefs.  Whichever way the political wind blows, he'll follow.  No one can say that about Trump.  His positions were and are often strident even if he loses support and votes.  He's very stubborn that way, totally unpolitical.

Biden has always been a politician.  It's why he's now losing support.  Many people voted for him to be middle-of-the-road and he's leaped left to satisfy the left.  So his support is rupturing.  He's also a terrible manager.  Everything he touches gets worse.  The economy, inflation, Afghanistan, the border, crime, etc.

Well.  Finally an opinion about my points, not my character.  That I can accept.  :)

Unfortunately, your character is of far greater importance than your points.

Absolutely.  Most people are that way. I'm sure you are too. You can attack their points but just don't attack them.

People whose behavior is habitually disingenuous and deceptive should have the character of their actions exposed for others to see. It's one reason why the congressional hearings on the insurrection of January 6th are so important.

I'm amazed how judgmental you are that you can assess my character from a simple opinion I give on a political, scientific, or other matter. Are the 60%+ of people who think like I do that Biden's doing a lousy job also disingenuous and deceptive?  Is it that only you have gotten a handle of the real "truth"? Your judgments of me and others are very harsh...and wrong.

You can believe or pretend to believe whatever you like. You can believe or pretend to believe that you're replying to anything that I've recently written. I. just. don't. care.

* What you've written, however, has no relationship whatsoever to the views that I've expressed regarding honesty and sincerity. Nothing. Nada.

I have no business putting words in his mouth, but don't you think that his judgement was based on more than one single opinion of yours? These so-called "political" exchanges have been going on for a while now, plenty of opportunity to judge contributions.

I have a question about US Congressional committees and subpoenas. There seem to be a few people who "refuse" to cooperate in either supplying documentation or giving testimony. I don't get that. If authorities demand you do something, don't you kind of have to do it? Why aren't those folks in jail yet then? Or are these not subpoenas as I understand them, that is, are they of a type that have no teeth.

More generally, if these guys thought they were doing the right thing, wouldn't they be jumping at the chance to give testimony in public, make their positions known? I keep reading rumours of them asking for pardons, presumably based on the hope that Trump, or a suitable acolyte, gets into power in the future. Shouldn't we be suspicious of people who lobby for pardons? That doesn't strike me as something innocent heroes would do.

This last question is out of left field. Have there been rumours at any time of Trump "selling" pardons? I don't necessarily mean cash deals, although I don't rule that out. He doesn't strike me as the kind of person who does anything for someone else without a quid pro quo. Not many people do in politics, is my guess, but he seems especially prone.

Claiming that another's "behavior is habitually disingenuous and deceptive and should have the character of their actions exposed for others to see" is over-the-top.  Insults do not belong here just because you disagree with others' viewpoints.  It's ruining the forum.  There are so few posts even about photography.    People just leave. Why Reichmann puts up with it is beyond me.  It's ruining his father's creation.
