Once you get onto an ignore list of such trolls, this dissipates quickly.

I finally realized that there's no point in interacting with people who are disingenuous and dishonest... not to mention extremely repetitive!

Election fraud is significant and would be worse if rules and penalties were reduced.  It;s why states have rules against ballet harvesting etc.  Actually, fraud is more signioficant in local races such as mayor, sheriff, couselperson, etc rather than in nationwide elections when a few votes can make a difference who wins.  So while the argument may be about national elections, the rules have to be enforced to keep the more frequent local elections honest.

Here's the main list where you can pick whatever state you want.
https://www.heritage.org/voterfraud

Ooh, ballet fraud! Does this mean I can go to the NY City Ballet and get a date with one of those lovely dancers?

But seriously, I suggest actually looking at the fraud cases lists you cite. In my state of NC there have been about 30 cases of fraud since 1986. And almost all of them have been individuals voting when they should not have. Making a mistake because you are ignorant of voting rules is not fraud. In other words, there is very little "fraud" and they are caught by existing laws and rules.

ROTFL, seems our local "Mrs. Malaprop" (and as a defender) has struck again.

What never gets mentioned is the fact that these isolated cases exist within hundreds and hundreds of millions of votes cast in thousands of localities and tens of thousands of municipal, county, state, and federal elections. But, who wants perspective when you're trying to instill unreasoning fear in people? You just want to scare the bejeezus out of them and keep stoking some phony outrage.

No one denies that there are rare instances of fraud. But it is extremely rare and rarer still that there is any serious enough to compromise election results. It's a red herring put under a magnifier to make it look like a whale as cover for efforts aimed at suppressing votes.

But Democrats want to do away with those laws and rules.

Complete BS and more hogwash. No wonder zero people posting here take you seriously.
Do Republicans want to do away with democracy and the peaceful transfer of power? Some do, but not all. Ever hear of Liz Cheney? Or all the Republicans who've testified under oath for the 1/6 commission? Oh wait, you're not watching or paying attention to any of that. Takes less time to jerk your knee and post complete BS and more hogwash. No wonder zero people posting here take you seriously.

This reviewed book might be a good read, https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2022/06/30/tim-miller-republican-campaigns-00043250.

The notion that they were just putting on a show is pretty damn cynical but not unexpected. The long-term effects of low voter turnouts might mean that would-be authoritarians can more easily convince themselves that they're doing the right thing. So a small religious minority works to eliminate abortion that most people want. Will this convince people to take voting more seriously? I'm pessimistic. The partisanship is more cult than anything, any semblance of logic is gone. People don't have a problem, it appears, to be governed by a largely unelected minority.

Dirty tricks have been around for a long time in American politics. This guy Miller is an amateur.  If you want to see how an expert does it just look at how Hillary Clinton through her false dossier supported by a Demcrat administration got the whole FBI after a candidate and subsequent sitting president.  Now that's dirty tricks.

Huh? No they don't, except in a few cases where the existing laws disenfranchise legitimate voters. What Democrats want is to PREVENT new laws that try to keep likely Democratic voters from the polls.

Please see my sig line--it really applies to you.

Wrong yet again. That dossier was perfectly legitimate and legal opposition research. Clinton hired people with impressive credentials to conduct the investigation, but they let her down. The report contains a lot of inaccurate info, but also, it must be noted, a lot of accurate info about Trump and the Russians. This is not a dirty trick.

What is a real dirty trick is when Trump asked the Russians to hack Clinton's emails and that same day they started trying.

. You missed the part where the FBI knowing that the dossier was false still used it in the Fisa court to get a sign off so that they could tap Trump's phones. Because of the falsehood of it, it led to the whole two year Mueller investigation of trump and the false allegations he conspired with the Russians.

It never was a legitimate investigation. It was put out there to help destroy trump. And almost did.

Worse than that it pushed Trump to be harsher on the Russians than he should have been to show that he wasn't involved with them. This could have led to the very invasion of Ukraine as the Russians felt pressured by NATO and the west. Had there been no Russian investigation, we may have been able to make deals with Russia to show that we had no intention to hurt them through ukraine. And the Ukraine War may never had started.

Also, these attempts to constantly beat up on the Russians push them to become allies of another of our adversaries China when it would have been so much better have we become an ally of Russia against China. The whole Mueller and dossier and all that negative stuff against Trump is going to be shown in history to be a major failing of America.

You know, I admire the energy and dogged determination required by all of you to keep riding this endless merry-go-round by responding. Attempting to break though the ideological wall of repetitious talking points — which protects the extremely rigid and narrow worldview based on stereotypes that's imprisoned behind it — is exhausting... believe me I know!

My belief is that its an impossible feat. Being an optimist by nature, however, let me know if you should ever find anything other than continuous layers of solid rock.

Alan's a pussy.  He just suggests idiotic crap. You should see the right wing zealots on my Mercedes Sprinter forum.  There, I'm exposed to those with opinions like this:

" Jan 6 was a giant nothing. In retrospect, given bumblefuck's demented admin, the Jan 6 crew were prescient patriots. They should get medals".

And: "Trump's SCOTUS saves the day again! Supreme Court rules for coal-producing states, limits EPA's power to fight climate change"

So  you REALLY think that the Clinton/Steele dossier caused the current war in Ukraine? I mean, seriously? Are you sure the Jewish space lasers weren't involved? And the gazpacho police?

And you wonder why no one takes you seriously.
