I'm not a big Maher fan, but he gives some very good advice here.
The most important, STFU, will likely fall on deaf ears if one fellow gets to the six minutes and change time frame of that video.
Both very unlikely. 😢

Well, first Mary Barra said that by 2035 GM will catch up and overtake Tesla, and then Biden said Mary Barra is a leader in the green EV revolution.
Statements like that would be a great material for the Radio Yerevan jokes.

It turns out that this is not the first time Biden lies and touts a liar. He has a poor record of picking winners.
When he was a VP, he sang similar praises about Elizabeth Holmes, CEO of Theranos who is now on trial for misleading Theranos investors.

Biden was a plagiarist in college and as a senator stealing speech lines from a British parliamentarian and others.  Does anyone really believe he doesn't know about his son's involvement with China and the Ukraine?  His son and he have a joint checking account.   Hunter complains about how he pays so many of his father's bills.  But the liberal pro-democratic party press will continue to protect him best they can. Trump may be a sleazy businessman.  But he didn't make a dime as president. But Biden is a corrupt politician, for 50 years, feeding at the public trough.

That would make perfect sense if you suspend all rational thought. And as we've seen here over and over again, and in the recent thread about display calibration** where you poked your head in then thankfully ran away, all of must do so: suspend all rational thought.

That too would make perfect sense if you suspend all rational thought, which is exactly what one should do whenever you post.
How's it coming producing a snapshot Frans? Or are you too busy, eating up the BS that Trump "didn't make a dime as president" and you can't find a camera or figure out how to use it.  ;D

To be fair, lots of people queued up behind her. And anyway, what politician ever passed up the chance to be seen with celebs? On its own, that doesn't mean much.

As for the continued love affair with Tesla, best to wait a decade or two before deciding it was a success. GM was around nearly 100 years, let's see how the current crop of Big Corps weather the years.

It's a good suggestion, but I don't think it would help in this case.

It's not so much the love affair with Tesla, as the need to report on GM factually.
Coincidentally, Radio Yerevan received recently a question whether President Biden was correct in stating that GM is the leader in the green automotive revolution. Here is their answer:

Quote
In principle, Biden was correct. GM's EV1 car was one of the first electric cars, but it was killed by the corporate greed fifteen years ago. At this time, GM doesn't have any EV's due to the recent Bolt recall. It is indeed the first company which recalled all their EV's and now is making sure that they will never catch fire again. In the meantime, their engineers are now busy working on electric versions of Hummer and Silverado. When these trucks will be finally available, they will be heavier than any other electric trucks, and will sport also the biggest and heaviest batteries. The other thing is they won't be exactly green, but a distinctive blend of black and camouflage colours.

Indeed. And recall how, when he was in office, secret service and various other government travelers were required to stay at Trump properties and pay full room rates.

I have no idea who Radio Yerevan is, but GM definitely had "first mover" advantage, which has seemingly been p***ed away for a variety of reasons, many of them no surprise because, well, GM ;)

That said, it's my opinion that Tesla's genius move was building out the charging infrastructure first and foremost.  If my next personal vehicle is electric I'm shopping Tesla specifically for charging convenience, even though I'd rather have a Taycan 4 Cross Turismo. (We already have one non-Tesla electric, a MINI SE, of all of our daily needs.)

Apparently, they didn't pay enough.  Trump's wealth decreased by $1.2 billion dollars during his presidency from around $3.7B to $2.5B.

I understand that Tesla has its own design for charging stations and connections.  How would that work if the ones the US government will put in as part of the new infrastructure bill are different?  Are there adapters?  Charging issues between Tesla and other EV manufacturers?

I don't understand.  What do election campaign contributions have to do with his wealth decreasing, or his wealth at all for that matter?  He can't keep them for personal use.

Adapters.  I have friends with two electrics (Tesla + MINI) and they fun off of one charger no problem.  As of now though teslas can use general standard chargers but not vice versa as I understand it.

Don't the Tesla chargers charge faster than normal ones? DO you know the difference in time between the two types?  What's going to happen when the government installs 400,000 chargers and the car design changes in years hence?  Will chargers come with memory cards or wi-fi so I can dump or upload my photos while I'm charging my car?

Charging issues between Tesla and other EV manufacturers?
You don't understand and are unable to find a simple answer.
https://get-green-now.com/electric-car-plugs-and-chargers/

...all electric car brands in North America use the same standard plugs for normal-speed charging (Level 1 and Level 2 Charging), or will come with a suitable adapter. However, different EV brands use different standards for faster DC charging (Level 3 Charging).
