Well, that certainly clears up the issue.  Let's move on.

Hopefully, a reasonable explanation will emerge, not only for the shooting, but also for why it is illegal to hang an air freshener on your rear view mirror. I wonder if having a bobblehead on your dash is illegal too? How about a plastic Jesus? There could be First Amendment implications.

Mom: Minnesota Cops Killed Son After Stopping Him on an Air-Freshener Violation

https://www.thedailybeast.com/daunte-wrights-mom-says-minnesota-police-killed-her-son-over-an-air-freshener-violation

Meanwhile, Derek Chauvin's lawyer was up early this morning drafting a motion for a mistrial.
I'm sorry the kid is dead,  That's awful.  But I really don;t know anything about what happened.

But just to get back to our freedoms, yes, even stupid little things like air fresheners slowly erode our freedoms.  I've been stopped a couple of times for using a phone and a few times for not wearing a seat belt.  I could see the first restriction because I became a danger to others by being distracted.  But wearing a seat belt is a personal choice that affects me.  It should be up to me to decide.

I will tell you this.  Even as a white guy, when I get stopped by the police I respond "yes officer and no officer" and keep my hands on the steering wheel.  If he asks for my registration, I tell him I have to go into the glove compartment before I move.  If he asks for my license, I tell him where I have to go to get it first before moving. White drivers have been shot by cops like black drivers.  You just keep your mouth shut and do what they tell you. As a kid, I once opened my mouth to a cop and he wrapped me in the funny bone of my elbow with his nightstick they use to carry.  It hurt for a week.  (I learned my lesson). In any case, by being nice, they sometimes let you go with a warning.

Here's what the Democrats plan to do to continue keeping Democrats in power in Democratic-controlled New York State and help Biden make America controlled permanently by the Democrats in the future.  Bribing illegals with thousands of dollars and subsequently making them citizens.  This is why he also opened the southern border.  Of course, HR1 to make voting by even those who shouldn't will become easy as well.  The corruptness is stifling.

Or, they could be wanting to give aid to people that are broke and desperate for help?

Dunno , but I guess we'll know for sure if the checks they send out are stamped with something like, "From the desk of Joseph R Biden," or come with a free bottle of water.

I will lose faith of Biden starts doing that egomaniac kind of stuff. Thankfully I'm pretty sure he isn't that shallow (which is so refreshing).

Why are NY taxpayers supporting illegals with $15,000 checks? That's on top of other free social services they get. NYS budget has grown 55% in 7 years ($137 billion in 2014 vs. $212B next year, way beyond regular inflation price increases.)  It's about cementing political power for the Democrats.  Meanwhile, they're breaking the bank and scaring rich people to Florida where they have no state income taxes.  The same thing is happening in Democrat New Jersey

Has nothing to do with ego.  It's about buying votes.  Biden told Georgians before the Senate election that they better vote for Democrats if they want the $2000 stimulus check.  A bribe. Of course, the Republicans were trying to bribe them too.  But they're cheap.  I think they only offered $1200.

My point was the name on the check is all about ego and buying votes. Only a shallow egomaniac does stuff like that.

It reminds me of how a lot of Republicans believe all scientists are on the take and will produce whatever conclusion the highest bidder wants. Turns out that's only their scientists.

So when a member of the "Dirty Dems" or whatever label is fashionable at the moment wants to give money to people in need, the Republicans assume it's a "bribe" because that is what it would be if they were presenting the idea.

Land of the free, is it?  Are you saying it's ok for cops to hit people for mouthing off? What's the penalty for being uppity? You know, don't you, that this is real life right, not a Hollywood Die Hard movie?

$15,000?  This is why they're streaming over the border.  Not for safety.  But to get handouts from America.  Meanwhile, employers can't get workers because they're staying home living off of these stimulus checks, spending that money on Chinese goods that go to China, not America.

American voters are selling their votes to the highest bidder.  This is what our founder feared the most about Democracy.  Since Democrats have always believed in giving away money, they get more votes. The Republicans have tried to be Democrat Lite.  But the people want the real deal and the democrats offer more.

My point is that you keep hearing that blacks have to watch what they say and how they act to cops.  That's true for white people too.  Cops are in dangerous positions all the time.  They don't really know who's in the car, whether they got a gun in their lap or what, felons who have escaped, or what.  So move slowly and follow his commands.  Just common sense.

Today, there a huge amount of disrespect towards cops by many. Now I'm not making an apology for bad cops here.  I'm just saying that if a person's disrespect rises to a level where the cop feels threatened because of the dangerous position they're in all the time, he could react in an unfortunate way.  And he's armed.  Just be polite and follow their directions.  If you're shooting pictures in a place where he tells you to stop and move on, well, move on.  You're going to get into a fist fight with him?

Really, that was the thing the Founding Fathers feared most about democracy?

I think to be "selling votes" you have to pay people even if their candidate didn't win. Otherwise, it's what we call an "election".

Would you concur if I said that was one of the five biggest things the founders worried about?

Well, of course.  It's "legal" bribery.  Who could refuse "free" stuff. :)
