Why then are you giving Biden any credit?  It's his duty too.  Meanwhile, your Canada is way behind in getting vaccinations out because your leadership failed, unlike ours.   By our leadership, I include Trump and Biden.  Yet, you seem more concerned about what America is doing than your own country.  I find that strange and misplaced concern. Maybe it is easier looking at other country's problems rather than your own.

Yes, apparently "it is easier looking at other country's problems rather than your own." For example, you brought up Canada and its vaccine rollout.

As I've been saying, it's the governors not the president who established their states' Covid protocols for opening, closings, and masks and in NY for causing deaths in nursing homes.  Maybe Democrat Gov Cuomo will have to give his Emmy back.

If you re-read my post, you'll see that I didn't say anything about giving credit to Biden, although in comparison to Trump he surely deserves it.
I merely compared their speeches. Biden spoke like a true statesman whereas Trump acted always like a clown or a juvenile bully.

And why do you bring up Canada? Trudeau didn't give any speech lately, but during the last year, he worked closely with all the provinces and recommended to all citizens to take the necessary precautions to minimize the spread of the virus unlike Trump who minimized the virus danger, ridiculed mask wearing and exposed thousands of people to virus risks at his reckless and non-essential rallies.

Nobody was attacking America, so nobody needs to defend it.
Regarding my own comments and observations, I'm actually happy that the current administration is making America great again. That should make also you very happy.

Trump was able to give us huge quantities of vaccines at an earlier date than other countries.  I was adding balance to your negative comments about him.  I doubt if Biden could have accomplished that.

Biden's efforts now are dovetailing the good work Trump did.  Sure Trump's style was grating.  But he did get things done in his own way.  Obama talked nice and created ISIS.  We'll see just how great the $1.9 trillion is when it runs out and inflation escalates.  Trump's done.  Biden is just starting the race. You're counting chickens before they hatch.

I hope Biden succeeds.  My health and savings depend on it.  But I'm afraid Americans are going to like "free" money too much.  Who wouldn't?  They'll demand more and more. It's what our founders feared.  That democracy would break the bank.   Inflation will kick in.  It already has for anyone who's shopped recently for food and other things. Film prices have gone up? Not sure the Canadian dollar has done much better.  It's easy to print; harder to produce.

It would be nice if you could give him credit for getting America here where we are with the vaccines.

Yes, it would be nice if we could. But we can't because it is for the most part not true. Remember when Pfizer announced publicly that their vaccine program had nothing whatsoever to do with the Warp Speed thing.

Anyone here recall Alan complaining about “free money” under Trumps tax cuts for the (top 5%) of the wealthy?
Or more of what he calls “Hypocrisye?”

Pointing out you hypocrisy, first with:

Maybe it is easier looking at other country's problems rather than your own.

and then with:

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

You are not defending America; you are defending Trump. I am not inclined to defend any of Trump's nonfeasance or malfeasance.

Pfiser didn't take cash upfront, that's true.  But they took an up-front order for millions of doses worth billions giving them the incentive to developed a vaccine as quickly as possible.  The other vaccine manufacturers did take billions in cash upfront.  The combined Warp Speed effort got the drug developed long before you claimed it would happen.  Warp Speed spent money actually producing the drug before it was approved to get a jump on it as well as paying for the factories to produce it even before the vaccines were approved.  While you and/or your experts were claiming it would take two years or maybe by this Spring if we're lucky, we're already reaching 100 million vaccinations in America to date.  Of course, it would ruin your day to say the last administration did something right which is what most Biden supporters are lying about. Oh wait, only Trump lies and embellishes.

So now you are a) playing the Trump gets all the credit, the governors get all the blame game, and b) whatabouting Cuomo and his nursing home directive and allegations of sexual harassment. I don't remembering you being all hot and bothered about the sexual misconduct claims leveled at former President "Grab 'em by the pussy" Trump.

Like I said:

Until Trump and his supporters admit that Trump's nonfeasance and malfeasance is responsible for hundreds of thousands of American deaths, Trump getting credit for anything is off the table.

Pure prejudice and hate.

Not really. I just think that Trump's nonfeasance and malfeasance is responsible for hundreds of thousands of American deaths, so I am not all that interested in trying to find something he may have done that was worthwhile. I'll leave that job to Trump supporters.

Here's one Biden advisor who's telling the truth. It had to be almost squeezed out of him, but he did say it.
I wouldn't give him too much longer before they get rid of him.

Slavitt: I would ‘tip my hat’ to Trump’s Operation Warp Speed
“We’re grateful for the work that came before us and are doing the best we can to continue it and accelerate it,” Slavitt said on Fox.

By BEN LEONARD 03/11/2021 11:44 AM EST
Andy Slavitt, a senior adviser to the White House's Covid team, on Thursday credited the Trump administration’s Operation Warp Speed for spurring the development of a Covid vaccine at an unprecedented pace.
“We’re grateful for the work that came before us and are doing the best we can to continue it and accelerate it,” Slavitt said on Fox News. “I would absolutely tip my hat. … The Trump administration made sure that we got in record time a vaccine up and out. That’s a great thing and it's something we should all be excited about.”

Pfizer is aiming to produce 2.2 - 2.4 billion vaccine doses this year, exceeding their original plan for 2 billion doses. They would have done well with or without Trump and their share price on the stock market has been rallying this month.

I've been saying for months that it's been the governors who have made the decisions about openings and closing and masks. Blaming Trump is mainly political.  Actually, we're all victims. Did Trump cause the deaths in England, Italy, Spain, etc? They were victims too. Blame the Chinese.

Cuomo though is guilty of lying about the nursing home deaths and then covering up his lies, all illegal.  While the sex gets the most headlines, no one died because of his groping.  It's the nursing homes fiasco that should get him impeached.

It's clear that you have a desire to vilify Cuomo at every opportunity because he's a high profile Democratic governor. It explains why you have made the umpteenth post above accusing him of causing people to die and then post a link to an impeachment investigation into unrelated sexual harassment allegations.

What you don't acknowledge is that it's the Democratic State Assembly Speaker who has authorized the Judiciary Committee to begin the investigation into those sexual harassment allegations; or that it is the Democratic state Attorney General that has also started an investigation into those allegations as well as nursing home deaths and data reporting; or that the Democratic Mayor of New York and dozens of other NY Democratic elected officials have called for Cuomo to resign; or that other high profile NY Democrats have criticized him and backed the investigations. It's a stark difference compared to Republicans circling the wagons, ass-kissing, and screaming witch-hunt nonstop.

By the way, I don't recall you ever criticizing nursing homes that failed to take proper actions to protect residents, but for some reason focus only on Cuomo. Have you ever so much as glanced at the Attorney General's report?
