FYI, I am not religious, an atheist actually, and I do not sing.
I am too (I prefer to call myself a '
none'; less baggage).
Yes, people are dying of C-19, along with depression and addiction and spousal abuse and child abuse and suicide and so many other things under the bus that you, and so many on the left, simply ignore in your one point analysis of the situation.
People are dying of lots of things Joe. But 300K have died of Covid-19 and many didn't have to. That's my point. You can stop the spread of an infectious disease far easier than stopping depression and addiction and spousal abuse and child abuse and suicides! But so many in this country would rather be selfish and political and not do the necessary work or minor sacrifices that would stop the infection in it's tracks.
If you, or anyone else feels unsafe, you have the complete control of living in your house for a year in this modern age.
Which is what I'm doing to not only protect myself and those I live with, but OTHERS. Which is the difference between what I'm doing and what you suggest you will do and what's fine for others (eating out, going to the gym etc).
I suspect no one ever said to you "
Thank you for your service Joe". But today,
we can all serve each other by not being stupid, selfish and by trying not only to protect ourselves but others. By wearing a mask always outside our home. By not going to gyms. By not eating out. By not going out unless absolutely necessary (buy food, go to doctor).
I will be living my life from this point on.
Yes, I understand it's all about
you. What you don't seem to understand or accept is, it isn't; that your behavior affects others during a pandemic.
If I catch it, then I catch it.
Yes, I understand you only think of yourself. You apparently can't fathom the concept that before you learn you have it, you have it and you give it to others. Who may die.
Yes, I understand you probably haven't lost anyone you care about from Covid-19, that getting some BBQ Brisket is really all that counts.
If I die from it, then so be it.
Yes, I understand that if you die and in the process, infect others, it's no big deal to
you.
I have looked at the stats and do not feel the risk warrant staying locked up, but if I pick the short stick, then I had a good run.
Yes I understand you looked at stats that only affect you and that by not staying locked up, if you infect others, no sweat off
your balls. It's all about
you.
I have long ago come to terms wit mortality, and, although I do not want to die tomorrow, I dont want to avoid it altogether, just preferably until I am older then 80 but less than 100
Yes, I understand you are only considering yourself, not others, maybe your immediate family or neighbors. How long you wish to live is all that you're considering. How many limbs
you may or may not lose. How long
you alone may or may not suffer.
Yes, I understand
you don't understand how infection viruses are spread to others no matter
your own condition, I understand
you don't care about others based on what you've clearly written in just this post I've quoted from.
Its all about you; got it.
I have to say, I'm thrilled I don't live with you, near you, or much what ultimately happens to you. I have others to care about, it's not all about me.
