For AOC and the squad to call for defunding the police is like shooting yourself in the foot.
Another guy like Frans and Solodan who hasn't a clue what defund the police slogan actually means.

You and Jeremy are simply disingenuous. You want to see a party document specifically saying "let's burn down 25 American cities." Who in their right mind would put that on paper or say it? But you both know that in criminal law there is a crime of action and a crime of inaction (i.e., crime of omission - a failure to act). The Democrats chose the second one: in cities where they are mayors and states where they are governors, they simply failed to act, let the riots and looting continue for 100 days, ordered the police to stand down and not engage, organized bail money and legal help for rioters, etc.

If you pretend that crimes of omission, a failure to act, do not exist, so be it. I know you will not change your mind and will continue to pretend you do not understand what I am saying. Or pretend it doesn't have merit what I am saying.
Your gross exxagerations of the Democratic party officials "crimes of omission" again smell very much like (alt-)right propaganda, I know you won't agree but that's not a problem for me. We're all here to speak our mind and exercise our freedom of speech  8)

And I advise everybody to google "Kyle Rittenhouse" or "Air Force Staff Sgt. Steven Carrillo" to make up your own mind wether all looting, burning and killing in those riots were done by left wing nutters.

Trump losing again:
The Wisconsin Supreme Court threw out President Donald Trump's election lawsuit Thursday, two days after he asked the justices to revoke the certification of a contest he lost by nearly 21,000 votes.

Therre were individual assaults on both sides.  But most burning and looting were on the left and often were done by organized gangs.

Possibly. I did take care not to reference the political party of the state and local leaders who may have failed to enact and enforce a mask mandate. I would not be all that surprised if some of the Democratic state and local leaders you referenced also failed to enact and enforce a mask mandate. Perhaps based on my suggestion, you could add another count to your criminal indictment of them.

However, I think before concluding that the Democratic state and local leaders you referenced, or the state and local leaders of unspecified political party I referenced, are guilty of crimes of omission, one would have to examine the applicability of the defense of governmental immunity. It would be a fifty state undertaking. I have no interest in doing so, and only mention it as something to think about.

Like others here, I certainly do not condone any of the illegal acts of the protesters, or the looters, or the arsonists, or the whomever, of whatever political persuasion, if any. As far as the appropriateness of the response of law enforcement to any illegal acts, I'll leave that to others. I certainly do not have any expertise in that regard.

I haven't done the necessary research to say on way or the other. Perhaps you have and would share it with us. I am reminded of the 1967 Kerner Commission report. Perhaps things haven't fundamentally changed all that much in the last 50 years.

With an American dying every 30 seconds...

President-elect Joe Biden told CNN's Jake Tapper on Thursday that he will ask Americans to wear masks for his first 100 days after he takes office, in a sign of how Biden's approach to the virus will be dramatically different to President Donald Trump's response.

Some will disagree of course: can't hurt. Let's try.

Yet another wild-assed assertion by Mr. Klein.

Back it up with proof, otherwise, it's just more political bullshit.

Please tell me what is / was Trump's response to Covid?

What a legacy he's leaving behind...the only thing in the history books from this past 4 years will be this virus and how it was mismanaged.

Ignore it exists, call it a hoax, or that after election day it will disappear, or it's only around to make him look bad etc. Cause it's all about him.

There should be a lot more. But that will be on the top of the list as why he was the worst president in our history.

There seems to be some serious internecine strife in Georgia, https://www.politico.com/news/2020/12/03/maga-georgia-civil-war-trump-senate-republicans-442776. Seems like Trump/Wood are causing problems with the local Republicans. Maybe they could just hold a press conference and publicly ask Lin Wood and Trump to stay out of Georgia? :)

The most astonishing thing about this is that it is being reported as if Lin Wood still had any credibility. There must be millions of Americans praying that this nonsense end soon. There are going to be some wild political memoirs coming out in the next 2-3 years when people start telling the dirty. It's all dirty enough on the surface already, imagine what the sh*t show must be like in the smoky backrooms.

Here's an opinion piece about Trump's anticipated pre-emptive pardons, and it's not what you think, https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2020/12/03/trump-pardon-self-family-giuliani-analysis-legal-442651. The author's advice is to avoid "pardon panic".

Maybe it would be a good thing in the long run for Trump to go full postal and pardon all his cronies, including himself. It might prompt the legislatures to eliminate the more egregious aspects of the practice and bring Presidential pardons into line with what normal people think of as justice and law and order, instead of the farce it sometimes appears to be now.

Right, all the pardon's he can muster up will not help him when the NY AG comes a knocking and he will.

You mean apart from

half of America is voting for socialism, voting for a party that hates America, spits on and burns its flag, burns its cities down, murders small business owners protecting their property from professional looters and rioters, murders cops and wants to abolish police, abolish prisons, abolish private property, abolish rent, abolish mortgage, abolish 1st amendment, abolish 2nd amendment, abolish ICE, to open borders for weaponized brownization, etc., etc.

Did you miss any ?

but he does not believe that trump won the election!
but I am not sure he really cares much about elections....all kinds of people get to vote if you let them....

it is mostly because what you are saying has no merit
it is actually pretty crazy but I guess you are just reading and following seriously dangerous propaganda

any half smart police officer, government official and crowd control specialist will agree that what the majors and governors did was the correct and right response and would have calmed things down much, much sooner
but of course we would not have a story at that point, so when you add a clown fanning flames with his official twitter account with the power to send in national guard and fired up heavily armed alt right media zombies, things get bad and worse and lets see who got the most out of the situation escalating?
the guy with the orange face make up and the brain washed racists who ended up driving back home
and the locals had their cities trashed, most still supporting the cause (and yes black lives do matter) but left with a huge mess that guys like YOU now use to AGAIN spin into some strange conspiracy about the Democratic Party.....and still spewing hate....
