Well, if you complain to the Cuban authorities about their process, they let you do the 14 day isolation in jail rather than a motel. They feed you rice and beans.
You need to get yourself out of the 1950s red scare mentality. It was all a hoax. China and Vietnam are full of capitalist factories making shit that you buy. Including the device you're using to read this.
At the risk of going off-topic though, one thing that's been confusing me for years is, if the US has by any measure the largest number of people in prisons than almost anywhere, how come you still have criminals loose on the streets? I mean, haven't you caught them all yet? How can you have so many? Crime in the US must be an awfully attractive career choice. Any stats anywhere on how many Americans earn their income illegally? Must be a lot more than other countries or you wouldn't have so many people in jails, seems to me. Am I missing something.
And after all that, how come you haven't even made a dent in the illegal drug trade yet? I ask about that specifically because it's usually brought up as an example of a sector that attracts lots of criminal participants. You've had several "law & order" Presidents, or at least Presidents who say they are for the length of the press conference at least, so what happened. Don't they mean it.
And there's another question that has me curious, and this is even more off-topic I guess. I'd like to see a Venn diagram-type intersection of anti-vaxxers and people who buy illegal drugs. Wouldn't it be just too ironic if a significant number of people who refuse to use pharmaceutical vaccines are perfectly comfortable buying their dope from drug cartels?
