When I started this thread, it wasn't only to discuss the scientific aspects of the virus.  I wanted it to cover other aspects including politics and the economies of the world.  I think these are just as important.

I will agree with you that he did not send an unifying message, but the idea that you are pushing that these riots are a result of Trump just shows how distorted your viewpoint has become from your hatred of Trump.  You have lost all clarity Bernard to think and analyze situations.

Him not sending this unifying message is exactly what I am talking about.

And I am not just speaking about the last week.

I am convinced that it has had an important role in the overall situation having resulted in riots.

If you don’t realize that your credibility in telling me I am not thinking straight is null.

Yawn, and again, it's not a Chinese virus. It was not engineered by the Chinese. It is a bat virus, it transferred to a human, and that happened to take place at a location in China.

Furthermore, I see nothing wrong with using the location it started in the name of the virus.  Saying other wise is just liberal political BS.

I would have no issue with that.  As a matter of fact, since it more then likely started in the USA, I have always thought the name should be revised to illicit it did and that our continued use of Spanish Flu is not fair to Spain (notice I say Spain, not Spaniards). 

I would take it one step further too, the Kansas Flu would work for me.

I do not begrudge them since I believe we all have the right to protect our property and neighborhood, especially when feckless politician pull back on doing so with police.  However, I'd rather have professional policing then vigilantism.  The Mob in Sicily started off with vigilantism, providing some policing to the community.  It quickly descended into organized crime, which is what will happen again if police start pulling back from policing bad neighborhoods.
