The only way the argument against opening works is if Americans are more irresponsible vs. Swedes or you feel Sweden is free of nut jobs. Neither are the case.
I am no longer even considering your argument now that the WHO, an organization you agree with, is against you.
After endless posts arguing that Americans will not follow the quarantine/stay at home or follow government's regulations because it's in their rebel nature, now you argue about it? Hypocrite much?
Yes, I think that as a whole, Americans are less socially disciplined and willing to follow regulations than Swedish. Could I be wrong? Sure, but so far I don't see Americans behaving like the Swedish.
So, can you show me where it says that the official recommendation from WHO for countries to follow Sweden's example? And what exactly is the "Swedish model"?
Until then, it's some thoughts thrown out for debate. Not to mention, the devil is in the details, implementing something many times it's much harder than designing it.
