Thanks for completely discrediting yourself here and going out of the way to spread hyped up stories specifically designed to shame the protesters.  The fact is, the overwhelming vast majority are normal citizens just protesting for there rights. 

So instead of making bad faith arguments, what you do all of the time, why dont you try and stick to the issues.

I don't understand what you're getting at. Both the article I linked to and myself referred to a small minority of nutters there. The article spent most of its describing exactly all those peaceful protesters.

I am going to make a bet that when Cuomo decides to open up, he will be praised by the media for being a risk taker and balancing the virus vs. jobs.  That, or it will be completely ignored like the governor of CO is right now, even though he is opening his state in a similar fashion to GA and GA is being crucified for it. 

I have to wonder why CO is getting away with this scot free from the press, oh yes, the governor there is a Dem.  That always helps.

If your purpose was to highlight that the majority of the protesters are peaceful, then why did you decide to talk about the Nazi's and confederates, and only the Nazi's and confederates? 

It seems to me that your post was in bad faith to push a narrative on this forum.  Not to mention, we all cant read articles and rely on summaries from the poster, meaning most will just read your summary about Nazi's and confederates and automatically think of the protesters as those.

I would not be surprised.  In that article or another, they did mention someone who is known to show up to protests with Nazi flags to make the protesters look bad was at the MI and AZ protests.

Perhaps you should ignore Alex Jones and his supporters.  Her is as far out there as you can get.  One of his theories is that the USA government blew up the Twin Towers. 

FYI, the media goes out of their way to only photograph white conservatives so they can push the racist narrative.  This has been shown repeatably  with the images they use from Trump rallies showing only white people.  By conservative sites covering the same rallies show pics of all races at his events. 

A lot of that is media driven.

Slovakia with 5.5 million tourists in 2018 stopped all flights in early March between Italy and their three international airports (they didn't operate any direct flights to and from China) and they banned all foreigners from entering the country. Czech Republic, also a relatively small country, had in 2018 6.7 million foreign visitors (620,000 from China), most of them staying in Prague. I was there exactly a year ago, and the centre of Prague was quite full with people (see below). In 2019 there were over 10 million foreign tourists there. Similar to Australian measures, all flights between China and Prague were stopped at the beginning of February.

My my my, here comes the new talking points.  Amazing how quickly you guys are going against one of the main liberal policy groups, the WHO.

Sorry, I am not buying it.  It's time to open and trust our fellow citizens. 

Additionally, you ever think that maybe Sweden realized eventually people would not give a shit about a full lockdown, leading that plan to go awry with many just starting to do what they want.  So to avoid that, they went with a much less restrictive policy that would not cause social unrest, and that is why it is working? 

Nothing to do with "better" people, just they have not been annoyed to the point yet of not caring like many here have.

Difficult for me to ignore as one of my childhood friends (here in the UK), has been totally brainwashed by Infowars BS.

Perhaps the protest in Austin was an outlier, and the other protests are genuine grassroots movements. I don't know.

Once again, it is nice to know the very  low opinion you have  of your fellow Americans.  But anyway, as I said before, and now WHO is saying, we will be playing  Sweden soon enough.

Totally missing the other points and stretching the one you think would put me in a bad light. You need some social discipline and seeing how people behave here is very clear US doesn’t have it. I think the nordics are the closest to some asian countries and it goes down from there. Even Sweden has plenty of missteps on this but generally they tend to be more private and naturally keeping the distance. Now that’s only partially true, and many of the newcomers behave differently.
Now, outside some of the nutjobs, I actually think that in the Midwest people would behave more considerate towards each other vs other places in US. I’m not talking big cities, all bets are off there. Reminds me of my shopping experiences in Ohio/Michigan vs Florida: in the first they excuse themselves when they pass 6 feet behind you, in Florida they knock you with their shopping carts and don’t even acknowledge it.

Bottom line, lets see how things evolve before claiming what’s best.
