Well, it is holding hands with Saudi, for one.
Slobodan is right, but also mistaken: the big three players are the US, China and the EU.
Trump is trying to cut the EU out of the game because it has potential to pass the US one of these days if it hangs together. That's why he broke all protocol and publicly announced that he would like to be best friends with Boris and/or Nigel because he thought them Britain's best leaders - in other words, he publicly backed the Brexit leaders because he knew that Britain within Europe was a big deal and quite likely one of the stabilising factors keeping his fear alive. Russia doesn't have the economy to let it count; it does have the nukes, though, as does China, but as we know, China also has the economy unless Corona does for it.
Divide and conquer kill. He doesn't give a hamburger for the UK - wait and see when it scurries, cap in hand, looking for its express big deal, the best deal any two countries ever made. It doesn't count anymore: it has served its purpose insofar as leaving and weakening the European Union is concerned.
The EU was not an adversary. All it did was have a combination of companies that makes 'planes many prefer to Boeing. It also doesn't like to poison itself with what it eats.
