He is a mutt. However, not so Swiss milk chocolate as the covers try to present. All part of making him more digestible to the masses. Fired would have been the one to make him darker.
Over the edge...

Like Trump today:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-48982172

He wrote: "So interesting to see 'progressive' Democrat congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe, the worst, most corrupt and inept anywhere in the world (if they even have a functioning government at all), now loudly and viciously telling the people of the United States, the greatest and most powerful nation on earth, how our government is to be run.

He talkes about native American women, one even from the same neighbourhood he was born...
99,99% of the Americans are immigrants dating only some century back.

One good thing about Trump is that he gave legitimacy to non-politicians running for office.
Just imagine what a real businessman could do for America (and the rest of the world).

I think there are mixed feelings for how well that worked out.

What a wonderful Sunday and wonderful sights. All across the nation, thousands of illegals are hunted down, handcuffed and about to be sent where they came from! Another promise kept. Rinse and repeat.

Oh, dear God, really!

And if you doubt it, watch the last four overs of the World Cup Final from yesterday (that's the last two of England's innings plus the two "super overs"). Then try to explain why Stokes's six should in fact have been a five and see what happens.

Apparently, it didn't happen on Sunday.

Strikes me as a fairly reasonable idea to throw out illegals anywhere. However, their issue then becomes removed from the reality of being crime and turned into humanitarian issues instead.

There are nutters on all sides. However, America has a massive identity problem that is too far gone ever to be resolved in the way the old generation would prefer. You begin from the basis of claiming to be a nation of immigrants. That instantly takes away the moral high ground because legal and illegal don't count as differences in humanitarian terms, and you are wide open to being accused of new hypocrisy. You're stuck with it, buddy, as we elsewhere have allowed ourselves to go. For us it was empire and its bitter fruits; for you as for us, slavery; and also for you, the fact that your new country was impossible to control without growing the population. Same with France regarding foreign exercises, and now Spain and Italy are hit by geography as much as by any African connections of yesteryear.

There really may be a massive race war or a religious one or several of both a bit down the line.

Shocking differences in wealth within every nation can't go on for ever. It really doesn't matter that some earn more because they are smarter; on normal scales it's okay, but when you get into millionaire territory it stops being acceptable not for any legal reason but simply because people can't go on seeing gross wealth stuck in their faces whilst they have to scrimp to get through the week. You can only be humiliated for so long, regardless of the reasons why you are where you are. Human nature always forces through.

Nope, I can offer no solutions either.

America isn't going to "throw out" 10-20 million illegals.  Never going to happen.  There will eventually be some deal made that will allow them to become citizens over time, or at least be allowed to stay without fear of arrest.  However, illegals that are also felons for other reasons are another matter.  We should get rid of them.  That's the people they're going after.

In our area I would say 90% or more of the yard care people are Latino; same thing with the maid services.  These are jobs that will never be automated.

So a furor has erupted when Trump called out the four new Democrat congresswomen who are people of color as being unpatriotic and should go home to their original countries if they hate the US.  The Democrats immediately call out the race card.   Of course, Trump is attacking their patriotism, not their color. But that doesn;t matter.   Now the whole debate forces Speaker Pelosi to defend four of her caucus when just days ago she attacked them as being out of the mainstream middle.  This now makes Democrat leadership appear just as far to the left.  The more Democrats defend the four, the more they all look like the four.  This all helps Trump because it suggests Democrat lack of patriotism.  Democrats again took the bait.

Tim Scott, a black Senator from South Carolina, called out the President for making a racist remark.  the worst comment was from Senator Lindsay Graham who called the four Communists.  I thought that this country had put the 'Red Scare' behind us but I guess some people are always willing to go the extra mile.  Even the Conservative columnists that the Washington Post publish have posted their disgust with those comments.  Regardless of what one may think of the four Congresswomen (I discount much of what they say), these types of personal attacks are beyond the pale.

To call somebody unpatriotic or a communist without going into the content of the matter is a simple way to put anyone in the corner... Yes that works very well with the empty minded. Like with the communists in the 50's
and it deverses the attention from Trumps racist remarks about people born in the same Bronx he was born.
Trump a deal maker? What deals did he make? He is a deal destroyer, changing the face of the US internationally from reliable to not trust worthy and unpredictable.
Not a very nice combination with such a strong military force. We all may be  afraid of a poor America with huge military power lead by a man like Trump

Democrats are always calling Republicans racist. If they can do that then Republicans can call Democrats unpatriotic. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Conservatives at the Washington Post?
I think you lost perspective living in the Washington DC area.

Democrats are always calling Republicans racist. ...

No room for debate here ...Don't start with always. Another way to stop all discussion.
This time Trumps calls himself a native American and tells a women born as native as himself, even born in the same district,  to go back to ... Where? the Bronx?
No... to some country he finds she belonges based on what? Tell me, do you agree with him?
Is this your president-? thank you not mine; But being as as powerful and influencial the US is -we -Europe- on the other side of the ocean have to deal with him too.

Quite frankly you have no understanding of how the Washington Post picks their columnists.  I defy you to find a paper that is more balanced in this regard.  Conservative columnists in the Post include:  Michael Gerson, Mark Thiessen, Hugh Hewitt, Ed Rogers, George Will just to name the ones who come to mind.  I read all of them to get a perspective on both sides of the debate.

Alan, the Washington Post has, probably, one of the most truly balanced editorial slates you'll find.  Truly.  It regularly features full-on Trump defenders (Gary Abernathy, Hugh Hewitt, and more (Edit: Thanks Alan G - Yes, Thiessen and Ed Rogers will defend almost everything Trump does/says)), anti-Trump conservatives (George Will, Michael Gerson, Jennifer Rubin), liberals (Eugene Robinson and others),  analysts (EJ Dionne) and everything in between.

Here's the point.   You need to consider that when editorial boards like the Dallas Morning News, who have reliably endorsed a conservative for something like 50 years, refuse to endorse Trump, MAYBE the problem isn't "liberal media" - MAYBE the problem is Donald Trump.  When people like Paul Ryan say that a Trump comment is "the definition of racist,"  MAYBE it's not anti-Trump bias - MAYBE it's that Donald Trump is a racist, or at a minimum, uses racial tension to fire up people that ARE racists.   Maybe that's better in your book, but knowing you, I don't think it would be if you believed it.

And you're right - the left is all too eager to yell about racism for little or no reason sometimes, or to attribute to conscious racism what is more easily attributed to status quo that some people can't see around, but the fact of the matter is that in this specific case, Donald Trump told 3 Americans - brown women who were born here, in one case to parents who were ALSO born here, to "...go back to where they came from..."  Alan, they "came from" HERE!  The USA. What the hell else do you need to understand that Donald Trump sees them as "not American" because of their heritage?

And that, my friend, is racism.

In this day of the Internet, it is always difficult to escape one's past.  David Leonhart of the New York Times has carefully documented many of President Trump's past statements and the reader sees that the past is prologue to the present moment.  Here is the link to the collected quotes and actions:  https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2018/01/15/opinion/leonhardt-trump-racist.html?module=inline   His full page add wanting the death penalty for the Central Park Five, subject of a recent documentary, is particularly damning and the President to this day has not apologized to the five who were wrongfully convicted.

The WP is left and anti-Trump.   I read their news articles all the time.  Their readership is 97% anti Trump and vile when they post responses to WP articles on the web.   Unlike the NY TImes, the WP doesn't review before allowing the posts to post.  The NYT is also 97% anti Trump. But their  reader's posts are more sophisticated with less cursing due to their moderators.  The most biased part is not their opinion page.  I could care less about that.  It's their news section that's biased.  The part that's repeated throughout the world.  Of course, if you believe as they do, you see everything they do as balanced.  The same thing happened in 2016 when Washington insiders just couldn't understand middle America supporting Trump.  They still can't.

Don't worry about it, Alan. The Committee to Reelect Trump (4 women) is working on it. It'll be all right.
