Demonstrably untrue, Russ.  Americans pay more for health care than anyone else.  And with worse outcomes.

I think we should nationalize the photography industry. After all, it costs newly-weds more money  in America to pay their wedding photographers  then they do overseas. That isn't fair.

A friend of mine moved from Canada to the US. Earns more, paid for a house about a half or less, beer much cheaper as well.

Except I did not draw any conclusions which system is "superior," just pointing out that, for the same position, salaries here are higher, housing and many other costs lower, etc. While medical might be more expensive, when you have employer insurance, it becomes a non-issue here as well.

I give up.
