Venezuelans have lost their freedom and cannot fight to regain it because their rights to private gun ownership were taken away in 2012 by the Socialist and dictatorial government.   The American Founders of our Constitution understood that private ownership of guns was the last defence against an oppressive government.

I do not know. I have not studied Venezuela's situation, short of knowing they were one of the richest Latin American countries, which might indicate they didn't have a problem in the first place. However, socialism is never a solution, whatever the problem is, real or imaginary.
