Against my better judgment, to defend my sanity, I'm posting the following two screenshots from a few minutes ago.  The first is using Edge InPrivate, and the second is Edge normal, just after clearing temporary Internet files.  I'm braced and ready for Andrew to let me know that my effort is fruitless, third parties offer the cheaper plan, and I shouldn't be concerned with Adobe website games.

Richard Southworth
Stop using Edge and fir that matter Internet Explorer.  It’s a conspiracy between MS and Adobe to rob our sanity and apply insidious mind control  ;)

Seriously though that is a weird result and I have no idea why that should be the case.  Except for my first only slightly tongue in cheek reply about MS browsers

We can do the same trick with Firefox (see attached).  Chrome today seems to consistently give me the $9.99 plan option.  I used to have Safari on my W10 system but Apple decided to can that option.

Could be that Firefox in the normal mode uses the cookies stored by Adobe that informs the website that you already have the basic $9.99 plan so you must be looking for an upgraded plan.

Could be, although I've seen instances where accessing with Edge or Firefox or Chrome in normal mode, i.e. cookie accessible, would return the lower cost plan option.  My guess it's a function of which server I catch at the Adobe farm.

Speak for yourself.  ;)

I started with LR3 and have had stand alone copies of LR3, LR4, LR5, and LR6. When I bought an XT2 in 2016, and it wasn't compatible with LR6, I upgraded to LR Classic CC. I have been happy with the incremental upgrades since LR6 and believe $10/month is a fair price. If you don't, there are plenty of alternatives. Just because a company charges more than you want to pay for a product doesn't mean they are screwing you. There are lots of products and services in the marketplace that I think are too expensive for what they offer. Life is too short to worry about it, much less spend time commenting on it.

I am sure other people understood what I meant.  You seem to have taken an offense to that.  Are you paid by Adobe that you can not allow any critique on this forum?

So now you're not only speaking for others, you're interpreting for them too? I take no offense expect being lumped into your generalization* about others that isn't true for me. And at least one other person who replied to your post speaking for them about being screwed has shown you don't speak for him either.
No, I'm not paid by Adobe to critique this forum. Not that if I were it would make your post any less silly:

So first I spoke for all of us.  You didn't want to be included in it so I excepted you.  Then what was your problem?  You also took exception at my speaking for others?  Isn't that you speak for others?  You seem to be doing what you don't want me to do.  Even if you are not getting paid, you sure seem to be sensitive to any negative view of Adobe.

P.S.  By the way, there is a difference between "screwing" and "screwing with."  And when I said "us" I was conversing with the person I quoted my reply with and not the general public.  Your butting in was uncalled for.

Your statements were generalizations, silly and solely YOUR opinion. You were called out for lumping others into your sole opinion; deal with it. Or better, keep this concept in mind from two well know fellows:
"Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another." - Napoleon
"I don't speak for others and they don't speak for me"-Arthur Conan Doyle

In my mind, your post was a failure for the reasons I expressed. Again, if you feel Adobe is screwing you or screwing with you, there's an easy solution to this feeling of persecution you can conduct.

The prices I paid for my PSCS6 and LR6 seem very appealing now.   ;)
Unless you buy a new camera that is not supported by legacy programs.  When I got my Nikon Z6 not only did I have to purchase the yearly subscription to LR/PS but I had to move to Windows 10 because Adobe no longer supports Win 8.1 so this was a double whammy.  That being said, I do like the new features in LR!!!

Couldn't convert to DNG? Yeah, it's an extra step (and there are some advantages too), no, you don't have to upgrade your software. Although Adobe could actually attempt to screw customers by NOT providing this free option.

I could have done that but staying on LR6 stand alone would not give me any of the new enhancements.  I have found Windows 10 to be exceptionally stable and have no issues at all.

Yes he is. And if you really want to get him going, just mention NEC.

Only gets me going when certain people mention stupid comments about either. Of complain about sensor heating that's a non issue.  :P
