Democrats run Congress. So naturally, any investigations will be about the Republicans. So Congress is not having hearings on the laptop. That could change if Republicans take over after the November election. The press had been protecting the Bidens because they wanted Joe to win the presidency. The NY Times even called the laptop reports phony before the election. Now even they agree the laptop issue is real. So the paper lied to protect Joe Biden.
In any case, the "laptop" issue is not just about Hunter. If Joe Biden was involved with the family getting money using the prestige of the VP office while he served in it, then that would be a violation of the law. You can't sell your office for access. So it's a fair turnaround if Republicans go after Democrats and Biden when they control Congress to uncover "wrongdoing". If they don't grant Democrats the right to properly protect Biden in any future hearings, Biden defenders will squeal like stuck pigs as Republicans are doing about the Jan 6th hearings Democrats run. Politics is politics.
You do realize that you've repeated this many times now. You think it's ok to investigate Hunter while claiming that investigating Jan 6th is bogus. Think about that.
Is it reasonable to think that nothing has leaked about Hunter by now at least hinting that there is something really important there? Is that plausible.
Frankly, most Americans don't want to hear any of this. They're more concerned about high prices, and other issues that affect them personally. Instead of having hearings on inflation, fuel, medical costs, deficits, etc., Congress is wasting its time playing political games for power. Nero fiddles while Rome burns.
Rome isn't burning, wildfires are burning. You're probably right that no one cares about Hunter Biden, why do you?
Why do you want hearings on fuel prices, that makes no sense. It's the free market, they raise prices to what the market will bear, there's nothing to investigate. Last I heard, humongous trucks are still best-sellers so fuel costs can't really be that high, can they? Personally, I think fuel costs should double, it would speed up the transition to more sensible decisions about energy use. We've been lulled into believing that oil and food should be cheap but that designer t-shirts should be expensive. Fixing that moronic mindset should be top of mind, shouldn't it?
As for medical costs, so long as people think that their insurance companies are competing in a free market to keep costs low, there's nothing to investigate. There are examples from all over the world about how to keep medical costs low, but the US has no interest in changing, so I don't know what you're talking about there.
