Okay, Dwayne, here is what I like: the color and the light, everything is sharp and in focus, You are walking through the woods and took a shot of what you saw. You have an interesting right angle line of the standing stump and fallen trunk. The dead tree still standing with the woodpecker holes is an interesting subject.
Suggestions. The background confuses me. I can see what it is, but what role does it play? Okay, it does let us know where we are, but other than that it does not hold my interest very long. The subject is interesting, but not remarkable enough. We need to see it up close for us to really see its detail, grain, structure, texture. If we were able to see more of the detail, it would hold our interest longer. Maybe try putting a person in the background. If the camera was on a tripod, you could have gotten in the shot. Maybe an angle of view other the eye level would also create more interest.
In short, this is a nice photo of a scene in the woods, but it needs more to hold our interest.
