Okay, Dwayne, here is what I like:  the color and the light, everything is sharp and in focus,  You are walking through the woods and took a shot of what you saw. You have an interesting right angle line of the standing stump and fallen trunk.  The dead tree still standing with the woodpecker holes is an interesting subject.

Suggestions.  The background confuses me.  I can see what it is, but what role does it play?  Okay, it does let us know where we are, but other than that it does not hold my interest very long.  The subject is interesting, but not remarkable enough.  We need to see it up close for us to really see its detail, grain, structure, texture.  If we were able to see more of the detail, it would hold our interest longer.  Maybe try putting a person in the background.  If the camera was on a tripod, you could have gotten in the shot.  Maybe an angle of view other the eye level would also create more interest.

In short, this is a nice photo of a scene in the woods, but it needs more to hold our interest.

Interesting scene, but to me the composition is not as solid as in some of your other shots. This is a difficult subject, because you want to convey the feelings that you experienced when you were there. We see the cold, the decaying wood, the rest of the trees, the snow, and we feel the cold.

But for example, the fallen tree's view is obstructed by a couple of branches who intrude into our line of sight. Perhaps getting closer to the stump and shooting vertically would have added a bit more dynamics to the shot?

Great honest and detailed cc from both of you ! Thank you ! This one was more
about the blowing snow I was in but looking at it now the shutter speed
was to long and the snow streaks are to long, the blowing snow is
not really standing out a faster shutter speed next time will do the trick.

You captured what you thought was present but it didn't transfer to the image. Imo this is the biggest disappointment about photography for all photographers. Capturing what excited you but not seeing it afterwards. Someone who looks at the image won't see it thus they think less of the image than the person who shot it. :(
