LL on schedule?

The efforts of Canada Post and the Royal Mail have allowed DVDs to reach subscribers in the UK today. I received a positive notice from there and the assurance that the mix of 16:9 and 4:3 material on the DVD played just fine on a variety of PAL systems.

Mark, I will give you yours in Hong Kong if it hasn't made it the 15 km from Markham to Toronto by then.

England is west of the Mississippi if you go round the other way.

That would explain why it takes so long for Boku's copy to reach him in Ohio.  The LLVJ deliveries travel in an easterly direction around the world to their ultimate destinations!

And Hong Kong is West of England by that reckoning?  :D

PaulS, a-ha, so they travel Easterly - that explains the problem between Markham and Toronto. As Chris said, I am 15 km South of Markham, but the discs travel East, so if I'm travelling East (or West depending on how you start) there just could be a chance that I catch the disc sooner in the Far East(West) than in the Very Near South.

All of this geographical relativism is making my head spin.  So, if I'm standing on the North Pole, Canada is the "Great White South?"

From the geography lessons here I have also learned that MAssachusetts is quite far from Massachusetts, since BlasR got his (in Massachusetts) two days ago, and I haven't got mine yet (living in Massachusetts).  :(

Jeez, everywhere but here in Maryland. The mail gets delivered around noon, and no joy as yet. I always seem to be the last one to get the LLVJ.

Nope, not necessarily last.  Here on the Left Coast, I'm still waiting too.  If it travels east (see the speculative theories above) and Oz got it yesterday, does that mean it will get here next?  :p

Possibly, but first would be Hawaii, then you and finally it might make it to the east coast.

Well Blasr got his now four days ago, in Massachusetts, and mine still hasn't arrived (also Massachusetts). Maybe I'll get mine on Santa's second trip around the globe.

Still waiting by the mail slot with tongue hanging out . . .

Lisa,

Ditto for me in the City of Angels.  Hoping for a nice package in my mailbox when I get home from work tonight.

Later: nope, no joy.  :(

The LLVJ just reached Los Angeles, about a week faster than in the past.  Whatever you did, Chris, keep it up!

Hope that Lisa up in the Bay Area got her's too.

Five days and counting since Blasr got his Massachusetts copy. Still waiting in Massachusetts. I think this pretty well proves that the delays are not at Michaels end, but are in the U.S. Postal "Service".  :(

Not yet.    Still waiting.  Probably soon, though, if you got yours.
