Answering my own question here...
Yes, the D700 Lightroom profile for this lens appears to work just fine with the 14mm Samyang/Rokinon lens.
Haven't had much time to shoot with it but it does seem to be as sharp as people have claimed. Focus, even with the circuitry to use Nikon's focus confirmation, is still hit or miss. For example, when focusing at infinity, the confirmation indicator in the viewfinder is on from the infinity marking on the lens down to about the 12 foot mark. And the closer mark seems a little sharper at infinity. Similar indicated focus at closer distances. More testing will be done. Fortunately, even at 16x24 inch print size, the depth of field of this focal length results in shots that have an overall feel of sharpness. Closer inspection, at 100% in Photoshop, is needed to notice focus discrepancies.
So, for $275, I think this lens was worth it. Now if I can just get a clear night, out under dark skies, to try some Milky Way shots...
