Welcome to the club Tim. I am going to try some of those techniques that you mention. I always wanted to try photographing light through glass.
In the meantime, it's back to the fantasy garden.

Now that I see it, I think I prefer the saturated version.

John, many of your images really get me to thinking. Like, now just how the heck did he do that?

This one was shot during the same session as the last one I contributed.

I've been away for a week and a half, and some very nice images have shown up in my absence.
Thanks, folks!

Notice of coming attractions:
As soon as I have some new images ready to post, I plan to close this thread and open another thread with a new title that I hope will satisfy those who object to my own fuzzy definition of "Abstracts."   ;)

Watch this space...

I worked on this one a bit because I like the raw abstract look so much I could not let it go.

Patricia, that's gorgeous!  It must qualify as an abstract because it took me several minutes to figure out what it was.  :)

Decided to try a sort of bw version of this multiple-exposure shot.

I went on guided walk of a neighbourhood in the city and couldn't help transforming some of what I saw.

Or just plain changing the perspective.

Awesome shots, John!
Do you exhibit prints of your abstracts?
