Why not Chris? They are always poised at zero in their move from up to down - the decisive moment.

This the way I would photograph basketball jump balls. Lots of practice and you get good...stays with you as well.

It has been suggested the line at the top is redundant. I don't agree.

That's a tough shot to assess. I seem to say this too often but I'd want to see it printed large and I suspect it would gain strength as part of a set.

I like the colours, I like the treatment but then I am left wondering about the composition if that means anything in this context?

Agreed, a lot of my shots need to be very large to work, for me anyway. Almost everything I shoot is stitched/stacked to get me up in the 60-100MP range. I can't wait for huge 8K+ displays, because I don't have enough wall space!

Yes, a set would be cool, too!

Hi John,

It was an early one in a series I organized for myself.

I bought a piece of board and some cans of spray paint, and then, along with some really really old paint in semi-dried tins, I made the artwork and shot it with the camera.

Once done, I repainted the board with different colours and 'designs' and made fresh photographs of the results.

Kept me going interest-wise for a while, but as with so many things, one eventually realises that they are only substitutes for something else, and just stops... But it was fun whilst it lasted.

Guillermo, very nice work. Not only does it have an abstract feel, but it is natural in tone.

This is supposed to be a castle, but it looks more like a mansion. I noticed the shadows which brought out the relief in the facade. Without shadows it would have very little appeal.
