Rob C: Both of your abstracts are arresting. The blue patch is sumptuous and painterly. The "planetary" one is cool too,

Every once in a while I stop working on my computer and spot something interesting in the house. Here is one I took of light coming through and hitting door. For me whether some highlight or other element is over-exposed can be a matter of aesthetic choice and not always strictly a blown highlight.

Taken with Canon G1X 'point and shoot', which I now intend to keep in the car at all times. Slow to work, but ah, the image quality! I was rather dismayed to learn that Canon has started using Sony's smaller sensors on the newer versions. Love the large sensor, almost APS size.

Thank you Bob; the first came as most my stuff does these days, during a random wander - that time, along the rows of boats up on the hard in the local yacht club.

The 'planet' was hitched onto during lunch one day when I gazed upwards to Heaven in disbelief at what I was eating. Boy, does one miss all the attributes of a great, late (and extremely competent) wife!

;-)

Street abstracts taken today near Kensington Market while visiting at the hospital. After visiting hospital, although grateful for the care, I felt like I needed some therapy. What better way than walking around with camera, all while the patient was sleeping. Taken with G1X.

Was just about to say the same, excellent work Guillermo. But the second blue image will not pop up and remains small, so I cannot quite see what I am looking at.

Excellent work, both sets, Guillermo!
It's nice to see some of your non-technical posts.

Damn, Guillermo, you just shattered my preconception that techies are mediocre photographers ;)
