... fun along the beach.
I like abstracts like this which are still recognizable, and this one is really nice.

Not as colorful as John's and Jim's masterpieces but still fun along the beach.

I like it!

Jim, the last one is really nice.

+1. Stunning.

I completely agree, it jumps off the page. And all of the last few images in this thread are very compelling.

Nice work, Jim and Mike. Jim kind of drives me crazy because I am always wondering what and how he did that. Mike's work is subtle and minimalist but striking at the same time.

I always wonder that same question about your beautiful work, John.

I think #3 is particularly engaging. I like the way it suggests a human form in the sand. From a distance, it looks like a painting.

Is it really an abstract then though?

In my rather open-ended definition it is an abstract, as long as the image isn't just about what the subject is, but rather about a visual effect or pattern.

YMMV.

Don't know if this is abstract enough, but I like it

Letting people guess part of it may help get them in the game.  There is still plenty here we don't know.

The figure being two part is to some degree it's own foil, though I tend to feel a buffalo would make a better background.

I like it too, and I have no idea what the object in the photo is.
