Another bluebell shot. My only concern with all of my ICM shots is that I found it impossible to smoothly drop the camera. This gives small bright horizontal areas of bright leaves and I am wondering whether to clone them out. Are the small bright areas a distraction? What do people think?

This is an interesting combination of motion blur and relative sharpness. I like it. I wouldn't clone out anything.

Already said, very nice. Lovely blue-gray tones. And it has a three dimensional quality that makes it mysterious.

Every shot has to be considered differently. To me, the most important thing is to achieve overall balance. If you look at those light areas they are well distributed, and almost form a circle or oval within the picture space. You have dynamic movement of vertical lines from top to bottom or vice versa, and then a resting point of purple, which is interesting in form and colour, and then on through the whole. Really nice, if you ask me.

I've been out of the country (and away from the Web) for three weeks vacationing with my wife in southern France.
There are so many great and imaginative images in this thread since I last peeked! Thank you all for the riches!

It will take me quite a while to whittle down and work through the almost 1500 raw files I have from the trip, but I hope to post a few abstracts from Medieval Bastides some time next week.
