Both are wonderful but the last one is mind-boggling, especially the "weaving" pattern.

Thanks Francois and Eric. My Sainthood remains intact. To echo the claim, check out my accordion halo.

Stairway to Paradise?
Could be a corrugated wall with a light. But what do you do on blue days? I suppose I could have cloned out the black opening lines, but this way it shows you can find abstracts, or at least interesting subjects anywhere.

Good one.

I have a couple of recent ones in a similar spirit that I'll post in a few days (not yet processed.)

Now, there's no possible discussion about your Sainthood  :D
Very nice geometry with this accordion shot!

Nice tonality - that would look great in a 48x48 framed on a wall in a clean, modern house.

All your images appear to be ultra sharp.

That was a 34-frame focus stack of a miniature chrysanthemum that was about 4 cm in diameter, shot with a macro lens at approximately 1:2 magnification.

All that work and you didn't bother to clone out the little fiber/hair in the top left center?  ;)

Really? Where is it that fibre, I can't see it? I withdraw my favourable comments 8) Wow, 34 images! I never had a good experience with photostacking. Could be because I almost always take an interpretive approach to my macros and not a documentary one. I usually only want one or two elements within my macro images to be sharp.

I didn't even notice that!  Fixed now in my edited post.

The Fuji X-T4 I used to make that image has an excellent feature (which I believe is shared by some if not all of the medium-format Fujis) that allows you to set the nearest and farthest points you want in focus, and, based on the aperture you have selected, automatically shoots the number of frames required to create the stack.  I sometimes tweak that in Helicon Focus to soften some background features even more.  For this picture, however, I knew in advance that I wanted everything visible to be sharp.

Thanks for the information Chris. But when my Pentax dies, it looks I will settle for a Nikon, which I believe has a similar feature set.

This one is very close to just curves of colour, wispiness.

Thanks again. The phlox flowers turned out similar to the lavendar fields.
