Really interesting, John. And the two work well together, with the lines from the top image seeming to continue into the bottom one. Did you do that intentionally?
I would like to say yes, but I didn't notice the continuity until you mentioned it. Thanks for the comments, Arlen.

Just what I was thinking.

Also, it's nice to see you found a subject with its wiggle built-in (no need to wobble the camera.)

Thanks Eric, whistle wiggle while you work...

Photographed during the great San Francisco earthquake, no doubt.

I humbly admit I backed into a crazy skateboarder.

When are we most like light and shadow. Depends on time of day and season.

I love this one, it plays with my mind and lets me imagine different geometries!

That's just what a good abstract should do: invite you yo play mind games.

This is nice, too.
I like the fact that there is no clue to the actual size. Teacup or building? Could be either, or in between.

You might want to revisit it and try some camera wiggle.
It might be interesting, or might not.

I'm not certain whether this qualifies as abstract.  It's a macro of a dogwood tree flower bud, a little more than 1 cm in diameter.  Literally, I suppose it's representational, but if I hadn't shot it myself I wouldn't have been able to identify it.

It's a fine, well-composed, interesting image.
Whether it is "sufficiently abstract" to deserve the label is a question I'm not interested in.

A gentle glow makes what looks like building blocks come to to life.
