I do like the bird image. I have found if I leave the stabilization in the on position, it screws up my ICM timing and therefore the image.

Well this was all in camera, but I have to fess up that it was an accident, where the camera missed the focus. But I liked it better than other frames that were in focus.

One of my *fav bird pics of the last few years was the result of misfocus.

*A fav among those taken by me, that is.  ;)

From under trestle railway bridge. Love the long shadows. Taken on Daily Walk.

Sort of abstract? I just loved the swirls.

Me too; very nice. I'm always attracted to those kinds of tree swirls, but getting a good rectangular composition is usually a challenge.

Dave,

Wonderful picture.
So often the case...beauty is the goal and tack sharp can rob an image of it's poetry.

I agree. But I think the excellent bw tonality really makes the image sing.

A pod of dolphins (perhaps?) taken on Daily Walk. They are kind of blue because they long for the sea.

Thanks. I have it in mind to get a (rumored) Fuji GFX-50r, adapt my Pentax 75/2.8 (great 645 format lens) to it and then take scads of photos either out of focus or at slooow shutter speeds. Besides hopefully resulting in some worthwhile pics it might also get under the skin of the res addicts.  :D

Indeed, very nice David. I think you included just enough black elements to balance the image beautifully.

Seems this beautiful building and the morning sun collaborate well together!
You know Dave, these abstracts either strike you or don't. It's OK, but I don't like it as much as the first version.

From my Daily Walk series. Not hard to guess, but it was the interplay of shadow, light and shapes that drew my attention.

(edit: changed my mind, I like original better)
