Rob, that was just my experience too. It was a walk-around lens for me in film days, loved being able to correct keystoning, learned how to do it handheld. I was looking to go old-school with it on the D800E, but the results were sort of "meh," I could do just as well with a modern lens and PP corrections and have a more fluid shooting workflow to boot. But I sure loved it back in the day, it was indeed the bees knees....
