Great shots. In the last shot is that the road that goes over the Sierra Nevada from Granada to Capileira? If it is, is the road driveable in a normal car?

I wish I had the DP2M with me while stationed in Thailand. I bought my first slr, the Canon FTb, while over there. I was really excited. I was in that phase of snapping away like crazy like I'm now. Most guys shot b&w as the film and photos would be back in a week. Color was sent stateside and take months, often after when you finished your tour. This camera and thread inspired me to come out of the shadows and share. Any and all comments are welcome. I'm in western NY visiting my sister, and I'll go wild there. I'll have to install SPP on her computer

Hi Pete, is a different road. It's the road from Granada to Sierra Nevada ski resort. This road continues to Mount Veleta and is only passable by walking.

Hi all, I have a question about using SPP. When I press the button "Full Res" sometimes get in the window "Fit in" 27.2% and sometimes 40.8%. Someone knows why this happens?

It depends if the image displayed is in portrait or landscape mode. 40.8% is 3/2 times 27.2%; the image file height/width proportion.

I'm including 2 screen captures: the image in SPP is in landscape mode, then rotated to display it in portrait mode. The "full res" is clicked on, and the "fit in" percentages are 23.3% and 15.6%. I'm using my sister's HP computer with an uncalibrated monitor res of 1600x900, and image size in the DP2M is on HI. Medium and low size levels would show different percentages. Sorry if the image looks crumby; it looks way-blue on her system. I hope this helps.

Wonderful images, Juan. I enjoy and learn from seeing other images from around the world.

At the other end of the spectrum back home, the DP2M is great at illustrating items for sale. For example, I'm thinking about putting these 2 audiophile LPs on ebay. A lot of clarity and really brings out the fine print. My two passions are music and photography. Too bad I can only support one at a time.

Nice stuff, but no eye level finder is a real killer for some of us. Just can't deal with holding a camera out away from me for much of my work.

If Sigma comes up with an eye level finder, Leica/Xpro style I'll be looking more seriously at one of these.

I use the camera plate from my manfrotto tripod to somewhat hold it closer to me and steady the camera.
