Thoughts on the DP2 Quattro??

It looks pretty huge with that hood & finder on it. No idea why they didn't stick an EVF in it.

Yes! if you have ever tasted fresh roasted coffee there is no going back. City+ roast it looks like? Right after the 2nd crack?

Tasty looking ;)

Thanks!

Yeah, although it was just around the second crack. I think that would classify as a Full City Roast, although I could be wrong. It was delicious. I don't think I can ever go back!

Great Shots!

Here's a shot from this summer of a small dolly garden. I'd like to hear some more about Quattro Dp's but I haven't seen anything. I'm really interested in a version with a little more dynamic range and a little bit better in low light.

Shot from this fall. I think I just got lucky it actually came out sharp. So has anyone heard anything new about the Quattro's? I'd really like to drop my nikon system.

Following this thread with interest, the price drop in the Sigma's has me looking seriously at the DP2M.
I checked out Clifton Camera in the UK, their price is $130 below B&H currently.
Has anyone in the states purchased through Clifton? Any issue with warranty is something goes wrong?
Fast shipping?

I finally decided to get a DP2M after reading all the posts and looking at the pictures. The first thing I did was to fully charge the battery. I then spent about 30 minutes familiarising myself with the menus and operation since I did not have a memory card with me. I excitedly went home, loaded the memory card, formatted it and then...the battery died! I charged it again that evening and on the second day got only 62 shots before it ran out of juice - and that's without chimping. I will definitely need more batteries for out of town trips where I spend the whole day out of the hotel. The battery life is terrible but I'm loving' this camera.

Here are a few of my first photos.
